The Ermanox needed a friend![]()
Let us know how the Ermanox is Vince. I really love those things. Probably my most desired camera! I think I have seen one with a rollfilm back, do you have one of those or is hybrid plates only?

Thanks - it’s been my dream camera as well for the last 31 years
I’ve been keeping an eye out for a rollfilm back, but they seem to be very scarce (127 film, not 120 as you might think). Not a huge deal, as I can get the 4.5cm x 6cm glass plates from a Jason Lane (I forewarned him!), and I suppose if I want to stay in the spirit of Erich Salomon, glass plates is the way to go anyways.
It will likely be a while before both it and the Miniature Klapp will be ready to use, as they both need overhauls and new shutter curtains. What I think I will do at that point is start a thread dedicated to both cameras.

Although they seem to be getting scarce, I tracked down an M42 35mm f/2.4 CZJ Flektogon. When used on a Contax SLR with its much brighter viewfinders than M42 cameras and multi-metering modes, it is a nice combo. However, the Flektogon, because of its design, does not sit flush on the M42-CY adapter, unlike many other M42 lenses. A little electrical tape all around helps -- which preserves infinity focus. A rubber o-ring probably is a better solution.

Nice indeed, but about a hundred stops difference in brightness between its rangefinder and the one I'm used to (M-A & clean M2)..

Yes, more likely to be surprised by "accidental" images.

Abstract Clarity
My goal was to go a year or maybe it was 6 months without buying any new gear.
However, I’ve recently been using my Fujifilm GFX 50R to do landscape photography and I “seriously” needed something wider than my GF 45mm f2.8 lens to accommodate my needs.
I just bought the Fujinon GF 30mm f3.5 R WR lens!
Needs, wants, desires, choices, justification… I lasted almost 4 months without buying something new. Now the clock is reset!
All the best,
Mike
