LOL! The M11 in my Leica kit is just a future figment of my imagination at this point in time.
The M11-D is the first M11 that's piqued my curiosity ... Whether I ever actually buy one remains something of a question mark: I'm probably more likely to try to find a mint M-D typ 262.

The previous owner of this 1956 Kiev2a bought it from Oleg Khaliavin in 2019. He used it until 2023 when the self timer stopped functioning. (The lever seems to be disconnected from the internal mechanism). I seldom if ever use the timer on these old machines anyway. Otherwise it is in great shape on its exterior and advance is smooth, rangefinder is perfect, and all shutter speeds work and seem accurate. The lens is a 1956 J-8 that has the typical cleaning marks but I have seen photos taken by the seller with the combination and they look good. I have a test roll in it now. My first OKVintage camera and his good reputation seems well deserved from what I can see.

After a hiatus from BW shooting and developing (life happened) and, as a consequence, also actively posting here at RFF I consider myself back after purchasing a very nice, recently CLA'd Olympus OM-2n (came with a silver nose 1.8 50) ... and managing to source a really *nice* Zuiko 28mm f2. And getting my film developing mojo started again.

super stoked - just got my MP through and from the serial number it’s from 2002…literally looks brand new, sticker still on the baseplate (now removed) and zero brassing…I think only a handful of rolls have ever been put through this…can’t stop grinning when I should be working…

This is an immaterial purchase, still a purchase. I just renewed my annual membership to the Photographer’s Gallery in London. How I love this place (plus once a year a get 20% off from the bookstore).
Of all my subscriptions and memberships, this is the one I will always refuse to stop…

Ever subject to the printed page I bought a copy of Daz Smith's Rebel Scum. It is coming across the Atlantic and across the country to me. I have always found those on the fringe more interesting than those of the ordinary world. Possibly from my youth when walking in Manhattan on 42nd. Street. Back then there were panhandlers, hustlers, derelicts and soap box exhorters. All in the short space of a few blocks. The soap box exhorters always had the "soap box", some box to stand on, and an American flag was displayed alongside. If they were selling religion there was a Bible, if it were politics it was The Daily Worker or similar. The audience was that of believers and jeerers, real NY, bare bones and out there. And maybe a few feet away a drunk asleep on the pavement lost in his alcoholic lethality.
Vivian Maier caught these folks. So did Robert Frank. My town has folks sleeping on the street in tarpaulin/poncho tent shelters in a town where ~100" of annual rainfall is not unknown. The lucky ones have places under streets and buildings in this weird town where they can shelter.

An overpriced battery for a Type 240. Getting close to impossible to find new.

Just received my Leica M10-P. I was pleasantly surprised that the original packaging is like a jewelry box with drawers for the accessories. Very nice. I'm charging the battery now.

You are lucky to have found one. Where?

If you're new to the Rollei SLRs, you're in for a treat! I do hope your battery has been re-celled and is working properly. If not, feel free to PM me; I'm pretty familiar with the quirks of the system and can point you to the folks who do that work. Welcome to the (tiny) Rollei SLR club!Rolleiflex SLX with spare battery pack & charger at a very kind price. Its twin is available on eBay at Larry Ferguson Cameras.

Yes please do tell. I live in fear that my one and only will fade fast someday soon. Didn't shell out the unreasonable $$ when those batteries were more easily found.... So....You are lucky to have found one. Where?

For my birthday I bought myself a Wotancraft Pilot 2L camera bag. I couldn't be happier with it. I usually just carry my M6 with a 50/2.5 Color-Scopar which fit very comfortably with room to spare for film, my filter folder, or a blower brush etc. My other lens are a 21/4 Color-Scopar, a 35/2 Summicron and a 90/2.8 Tele-Elmarit and I can easily fit one or two of them in if I feel like a change. I really like the look of the bag, the padding is closed cell foam and quite thin so it doesn't look like a camera bag. I swear this will be the last camera bag I buy

I bought this SLX in order to have its charger and battery pack for my 6008i, which has been needing a battery pack rebuild for a year. So yesterday I was able to shoot some frames of Acros that has been in the film back all that time.

As I wrote above, the twin of this SLX is available on eBay for $399.

I was in serious love with the notion of buying an SLX or 6008i about a dozen or two years ago ... ready to sell off the whole Hasselblad V system bag to help fund it. But I resisted then, and I simply think it would be foolish of me to do it now: my Hasselblad kit is already under-used because I just don't want to carry so much gear more and more of the time. Sigh. Old age and exhaustion... LOL!...
As I wrote above, the twin of this SLX is available on eBay for $399. But I’m unlikely to keep this one as a backup, so if anyone is interested, PM me for details.

Godfrey, I now have about 12 linear feet of built in camera cabinet (repurposed: it was a gun cabinet), and my plan is stick to those 5 shelves without excessive crowding.
I started out with Bronicas, and though I still covet an S2 and have room for it, one 6008i and one Mamiya 6 ought to suffice for medium format. 😉
