A very nice lens with a great history. You'll probably enjoy it a lot.

The D100 has landed, in nice condition for its age and happy for £30 delivered! (Needs a new Body Cap but will dig one out)
Just a quick additional note for reference, I've now attached a 18-70mm f3.5/4.5 AF-S G ED lens to the D100 and it seems to suit it perfectly, it's almost silent, feels like it focuses quicker than the AF 50/1.8 I tried on it initially, it handles lovely and the front ring doesn't rotate, has manual focus override and although a couple of years apart it feels like they where made for each other. (My wife won't be happy as I 'borrowed' it off her D70S!)

Looking forward to it, been after one for a while but not that common in this condition and within my budget.

Received a nice copy of Kudelka's Exiles. Another book of people on the edge, this time not Roma. There are lots out there on the fringe, easy to overlook willfully or not.
And just to let you know that I can really spend money, four small aluminum screw-in red buttons with little rubber washers that go into the shutter release on cameras for a "soft touch" release. There is no telling where I will stop now. The sky is the limit. LOL Click-click!

I recently purchased a Nikon D700 and the 24-85 zoom. I sold my Z50 and both kit lenses. It's a great little camera but I just couldn't bond with that small plastic body. The D700 feels like an old friend. So far, I'm very happy with it. 12 megapixels is fine for me. Obviously any modern camera could run rings around the D700 but that doesn't concern me!

D700. Still the best digital camera Nikon ever made. IMO, of course.
