My first project is going to be to see if I can combine two Fujica V2's. One that works but has cosmetic issues and one that doesn't work but is cosmetically good into one good looking functional camera.Let the fun begin!![]()

Canon L1 Setup
It cleaned up nicely and all the shutter speeds seem good except 1s & 1/2s. I had to adjust the rangefinder vertically but that was really easy. This is a nice camera that compares well with my Leica IIIF/G & Nikon S/S2. I really like the automatic parallax correction with the accessory viewfinder. Hopefully I can get out with it this afternoon.

The L1 is a sweet camera. 1/1000, no self timer to get in the way, lever wind.Canon L1 Setup

10.5cm f2.5 Nikkor in Leica thread mount. This one was ugly but it was due to tape residue which cleaned up nicely. Now it looks nearly mint. Also included were the caps and hood, and a m mount adapter ring which I now have an assortment but don't have an m mount camera!
This will be my regular user on my Canon P since the P has 100mm frame lines. Shown next to the 8.5cm f1.5 for comparison, but that needs to stay on the shelf.

I'm very impressed by it. Don't forget the hinged back in lieu of Barnack bottom loading. The L1 is a sweet camera. 1/1000, no self timer to get in the way, lever wind.

Lens arrived and the meter and shutter is working properly. Meter looks accurate. 'A' is adjusting shutter speed properly in response to light and selected F stop. Tried in low light and it will do at least a few seconds of a long exposure in A mode. The shutter has settings up to 8 seconds before Bulb mode. Downside is the shutter speed dial is very stiff. I will likely use this mostly on A anyway. It is a little cramped around the three rings so that will prevent me from accidentally changing the shutter speed when setting the aperture.Fujinon 100mm f3.5 AE. Don't have it yet, hopefully it is working properly. If not I can return it easily.

Shooting a roll of Kentmere 400 now.

Stopped by an antique store and for $25 this followed me home.
It is a 1960 C3 Match-Matic version so the aperture and shutter speeds are labeled weird.
Viewfinder and rangefinder were incredibly hazy but it was entirely on the outside of the eyepiece glass. Rangefinder was off vertically but good now. Shutter is firing at all speeds. Focus is a little heavier than I would like so I'll relube the helicoid at some point. Lens looks clean so it should be ready to shoot.

Wow, it can hardly have been used to still have the transfer of the speed numbers on the speed dial!
Fun, in an advanced form of masochism sort of way, but every time I get mine out I get this burning urge to shoot pictures of beige things...

You stole that. A real gem, a classic. Bomb proof IIRC.

Delayed Christmas present to myself: a Nkkor D 40mm f/4 for my S Bronicas. Mint, beautiful, with the OEM 90mm skylight filter and caps. Would I have wanted a 40mm Distagon for the Hasselblad instead? You betcha! But even a beat up "c" version is double the price of the Nikkor. And despite the paucity of intelligent reviews of this lens online, it is a Nikkor, so I made the gamble. We'll see!

That looks pretty damn good.It looks like it had very little use. Regarding shooting beige things... I like the reskin that Mike Echman did on his. Might have to duplicate that.
I've always fancied covering one in brick paper, for some reason.

I ended up ordering a two tone reskin from camera leather. He did not have the same blue so I went with a dark blue leather and black leather for the top. Just got the shipping notice so I should have it in a few days. That looks pretty damn good.

I've kept mine as it is, but that's at least in part because they are very uncommon in the UK - I've only ever seen 4 C3s, and only the one Matchmatic, which I promptly bought.
