My first project is going to be to see if I can combine two Fujica V2's. One that works but has cosmetic issues and one that doesn't work but is cosmetically good into one good looking functional camera.Let the fun begin! 😉
The L1 is a sweet camera. 1/1000, no self timer to get in the way, lever wind.Canon L1 Setup
It cleaned up nicely and all the shutter speeds seem good except 1s & 1/2s. I had to adjust the rangefinder vertically but that was really easy. This is a nice camera that compares well with my Leica IIIF/G & Nikon S/S2. I really like the automatic parallax correction with the accessory viewfinder. Hopefully I can get out with it this afternoon.

I'm very impressed by it. Don't forget the hinged back in lieu of Barnack bottom loading. The L1 is a sweet camera. 1/1000, no self timer to get in the way, lever wind.
Lens arrived and the meter and shutter is working properly. Meter looks accurate. 'A' is adjusting shutter speed properly in response to light and selected F stop. Tried in low light and it will do at least a few seconds of a long exposure in A mode. The shutter has settings up to 8 seconds before Bulb mode. Downside is the shutter speed dial is very stiff. I will likely use this mostly on A anyway. It is a little cramped around the three rings so that will prevent me from accidentally changing the shutter speed when setting the aperture.Fujinon 100mm f3.5 AE. Don't have it yet, hopefully it is working properly. If not I can return it easily.
Stopped by an antique store and for $25 this followed me home.

It is a 1960 C3 Match-Matic version so the aperture and shutter speeds are labeled weird.
Viewfinder and rangefinder were incredibly hazy but it was entirely on the outside of the eyepiece glass. Rangefinder was off vertically but good now. Shutter is firing at all speeds. Focus is a little heavier than I would like so I'll relube the helicoid at some point. Lens looks clean so it should be ready to shoot.
You will love it! It is a great lens.Delayed Christmas present to myself: a Nkkor D 40mm f/4 for my S Bronicas. Mint, beautiful, with the OEM 90mm skylight filter and caps. Would I have wanted a 40mm Distagon for the Hasselblad instead? You betcha! But even a beat up "c" version is double the price of the Nikkor. And despite the paucity of intelligent reviews of this lens online, it is a Nikkor, so I made the gamble. We'll see!

I ended up ordering a two tone reskin from camera leather. He did not have the same blue so I went with a dark blue leather and black leather for the top. Just got the shipping notice so I should have it in a few days. That looks pretty damn good.
I've always fancied covering one in brick paper, for some reason.
