Got a Plustek 8100 film scanner at a local yard sale, like-new in box with all accessories, was able to register and download the SilverFast software from the serial number on the old CD ROMs. A bit of a learning curve with SilverFast but it makes good BW scans.

This week I bought a Fujifilm X-S1, which I may not have done if I'd known there were no cables with it as I didn't want to have to try and find another USB 2.0 cable. I have one which works with my Fuji S5800 but for some really annoying reason the USB 2.0 socket on the X-S1 isn't the ruddy same shape!

I also bought a spare Fujifilm BC65n charger as it never hurts to have spare chargers and it does hurt if the charger you have decides to break - I once had to throw out a perfectly good Vacuum cleaner because the charger stopped working and I couldn't get one from the maker (they'd stopped making that model of Vacuum cleaner, I couldn't get one from the online shop the maker poitned me to and I couldn't get one from electrical shops as all these chargers are too specific, they'd have to carry hundreds of different ones to cover so many items for every maker.

think I would run it in default/factory mode for color then exporting a tiff file for your preferred PS{mine is rawtherapee}
for any color corrections RGB respectively 🙂 I find the histogram very helpful in that

This week I bought a 62mm Hoya Pro-1 UV filter for my Fujifilm X-S1 camera.

On the box it says "Digital Multi coated".

I've never been LESS impressed with Multi-coating than I am with this. when held so that the front reflects the view outside my window, the reflection is almost plain mirror-like. The multi-coating on the Polaroid Multi-coated UV filter that came with the camera looks better as the reflection is a little less bright.

Bought a Mamiya 645 1000S with an 80/2.8 C locally. It needed a good cleaning but it seems to work fine and it now looks really nice. The leading edge mirror foam could stand to be replaced but I don’t think I’m going to hang onto this camera, so I’ll leave that task to the next caretaker. I’m running a roll of film through it now and I think it’s quite a good camera. It was never a camera that was ever on my radar screen but I have to say I’m impressed.

Yea, I had one in the 1990s and replaced it with a Pentax LX. Now I have it again and it is a joy to use.

I snagged this pretty Wirgin Edinex from GMOG. Tiny little thing, makes a Leica 1A seem big. It is much more solid feeling then I was expecting.

Focus was way off but I just dialed it in, the scale is now spot on at all distances.

Just got this Leica Hektor 13.5cm at local thrift store for less than a cup of coffee at Starbucks

Hmmm. My son just bought one of those things. He was trying to tell me how neat it is and it's capabilities.
My interest is piqued.... we'll see.

I already got a few 135 Hektors. Two in LTM and one M. Kinda funny that the M mount lens looks like it's oldest. All of them need some small amount of repair, but all work reasonably well 😬

Not a rangefinder, but will be used with one. Isolette II mk2 with Solinar 75mm f3.5. Shutter works well, lens pristine and the grease hasn’t turned to concrete. Like almost all regular Isolettes it will need new bellows, but for five pounds it was a good buy!

I can remember I used to occasionally use the 135 Hector head unit on a bellows II for close up work. Very pleasing results! Your images remind me of that.

I also remember getting an awful reflection in the Leica Bellows II. Only at moderate to full extension and only with high key setups. The rear part of the bellows unit really benefits from some flocking or anti- reflective paint.
