What have you just BOUGHT?

A Voigtlander Proximeter II. Annoyingly, however, in my ignorance, I didn't twig it was missing the adaptor that fits the big lens to the top of the camera.

Does anyone have the correct adaptor for a Vitmattic IIa that they'd be willing to part with?

They sometimes show up on eBay.
 
When I sold my x100f I also sold the Godox TT350F that I used with it. Now that I have a x100vi I wanted something a little more powerful than the built in but the 350 was a little top heavy.

Just got Godox iT30Pro-F. This fits the size of the x100 series better, smaller to fit in a tiny bag, and isn't as top heavy.

The downside compared to the TT350F is the smaller flash can't do bounce, at least not by itself.

Godox also makes a $13 spacer for it that adds tilt ability up to 45 degrees. Does not pivot though so it doesn't help for portrait orientation.

They don't seem to make it in silver. ttl still works with the riser in place.
 
Took a punt with this 'Spares or Repair' RB67 Mamiya 120 Roll Film Back for £25 delivered, it obviously needs new seals and apparently 'the double exposure interlock plate (the bit that tiny pin hits) seems jammed in and some minor corrosion also the catch that holds back together is stiff.'....And indeed it did arrive in a mint original box in a grubby mess.

2 hours later the old seals are gone, the pin I think he was talking about was cleaned and pushed in and out a few times, the door catch was loosened off by using it a few times, there was an interesting screw that holds the top on which I luckily got out without too much stress and already ordered replacements as all will be replaced because all 4 are corroded!

After a good clean there's no corrosion on the body or on the film holder, there is some it seems inside the top cover but when I take the top off next week I'll clean and lubricate as needed but until then....Put it on the body and the interlocks work, the dark slide pin is a little stiff but looks an easy fix but it does indeed work!

Nice work - I picked up a fairly good RB67 Pro S kit a couple of months ago and gave it to my local repair fellow to do all of this and more (including a 180mm lens that doesn’t currently work). Does not look like a particularly fun job!

Thanks, it wasn''t too bad Vince to be honest just more time consuming than one would think, as I fix other things I don't mind doing it myself, I've read the lenses are not too bad to fix, especially the earlier ones, so you should be OK, I'm trying to put the kit together as cheap as possible so this £25 back helps towards that goal.

There are some interesting stories about these Nikon 200s at Nikon’s Thousand Nights site. It is interesting to read about how they made the newer version so short.
 
My plan was to put together the cheapest Mamiya RB67 system, it seems to be on track hopefully, found this CDS Prism Finder on Thursday at an online retailers, it arrived yesterday!

I was looking for a normal Waist Level Finder as I thought it would be the cheapest option, the last few on EB sold for £40 or less regardless of the higher priced BIN options, I missed the last one that sold for £17 because I fell asleep! 😴 🤪

As I saw a few CDS Chimney Prisms in other countries for less but the additional postage was ridiculous so negated the cheaper prices, I broadened my search and on the first try found this @Park Cameras in a 'Sale', it came double boxed, delivered in one day, meter works, glass is clear, it didn't even need cleaning and a 6 month warranty, all for £52!

I'm up to £183 now, Body was £99 with screen and rotating back, Film Back £25, new screws £7 and this. Just got to find a lens for £67 as my budget is £250, I will have to add £25 or so for a new Seal Set and £6 for some proper Silver Oxide Batteries, but you never know as I thought I'd never get this far so soon.

My understanding is that all nikkors in the 85mm to 200mm focal range are all outstanding. These lenses helped build Nikon's reputation.

The 55/2.8 Micro-Nikkor AI(S) is considered one of the best available. Sharper than most (has been tested among other lenses) and a surprisingly flat field at all focal distances. Incredible value for the price -- both now and back when it was new. I have one and agree. I also have other macro options such as bellows lenses and my lovely OM 90/2 Macro, but the Nikkor seems to get the most use by far. I use it on Nikon's and adapted to my M10 or M240. Nice in every config.
