What have you just BOUGHT?

Bought a Zorki C (1957) and a Zorki 4 (1964) both including Industar-22 and Jupiterr-8 lenses.
I am basicly done with the CLA on the Zorki 4 but i can not for the life of me get the damned B mode to work. all times work perfectly fine it is just B that does not engage at all. It is day 3 of trying to figure this mess out but i am honestly tempted to just put it back together and not have B. so annoying. might start a thread about that dreadful camera later today

edit: it is the little spring pushing down the breaket that stops the 2nd curtain! not enough tension, i guess since i was not particular careful when doing shutter dis- and reassembles. had to do a lot of those, because i was doing something wrong with reinstalling the crate.

A MPP Microflex TLR - just waiting for it to arrive.

I now have 6x6 and 6x7 covered. Maybe 6x9 will be next on the list
Have you ever used one before? I remember reading that if you don't follow a specific loading/unloading procedure, the advance mechanism seizes. I think it is written in the instruction manual.

Does anyone have background information regarding the Halina 35X rebranded as "Micronta 35X"? Catalogs from the USA Tandy / Radio Shack company reveal that they were carrying photographic equipment in 1962 and (especially) 1963, but if this was a regular catalog item, I must have overlooked it.

I picked up this pair of bad boys at KEH’s Black Friday on-site tent sale, for 20 bucks each, both needed some cleaning. The one on the left has a Carl Zeiss 80mm f2.8 Planar attached, and the one on the right has a 100mm f2.8 Planar. For those unfamiliar with these, they are Graflex XLRFs which normally shoot 6x7, but can shoot other formats. Can’t wait to put them to use.

I went to the Camera Swap meet in Burbank, CA today...wasn't looking to buy anything too pricey but as I was looking I came across a Nikkor AF-S 17-35mm 2.8D lens...
The seller mentioned it was hit or miss on the AF but manual focusing was good...
Overall the lens looks like new and the glass is real clean...
He was only asking $100US.
I decided to take the gamble and brought it home.
So far on the D3x it's working fairly consistently...kinda messed up on the F5...
I'm happy so far...I also ordered an HB-23 hood...
Serial number puts it in the last 3000 made...

I have just bought on eBay a TTArtisans 75mm f2 AF lens in L mount.
I have seen dozens of reviews of this lens online and not a single one of them is equivocal, let alone bad. And its price is in the 200 USD range (my price being a hair over $300 AUD). Well, I will soon get a chance to find out (as they say) if all the lies they tell about it are true!
Correction. The one thing I have noticed is an occasional mention that its AF can occasionally be quirky. But we all know that AF is something that can be sorted out with a firmware upgrade. If it is an issue I trust that it will be resolved in due course. other than that it seems a pretty good option.

I haven't but you are absolutely right; there are two differing options depending on whether you have closed the back or not after removing a film. I appreciate you pointing it out 👍

I recently bought a Leica M5 - a camera I have desired for many years. Managed to find one in vertually new condition too.

You'll love it. The whole design concept is so ahead of its time - maybe even a bit ahead of our time! I have the 50 Jahre edition and it gets pretty regular use.

Thanks for these links! I was looking at the 1963 catalog, and wondering whether anyone can identify the otherwise unidentified cameras at the top of the pages.
