I cannot stress enough how important are a pair of comfortable shoes. I have found my nirvana in a pair of running Sketchers. My family loathes how they look but if they break I'll go and buy the same. I can walk for hours and hours with no pain on my soles, knees or back.

A very light and compact 35mm ext VF. It must be a 3D-printed product. It gives a surprising clear and bright view on my IIIf. Best part: it costs me $5 only, free shipping by sea from PRC.

The only down side is its base being too close to the camera top plate, so lower portion of image got cut off slightly. But it is something I can live with.

Interesting combination. A Leica from the last millennium, a VF from the 21st century and the extension on the release button seems to be a Nikon?
The purpose justifies the means ;-)

Haha, yes that's a Nikon AR-1 release button. Btw I have tested the combo out this morning and the VF works just fine.

A small shopping spree this evening ...

- I received a notice from Kirk Photo that they're discontinuing the FR-3 focusing rail, what they have in stock will be the last of them, and I was just messing about with some macro work yesterday and realized that a second rail would be very handy to make fine position adjustments when shooting at high magnification. So I ordered one. 🙂

- I had my sweet old Nikon F plain prism out the other day and realized I'd sold or given the Nikkor 85/1.8 lens to a friend some time ago, leaving me with just the 28/2 AI and 55/3.5 Micro lenses for it. And, oh yea, the super-cheap Sigma 600/8 mirror telephoto... Sheesh, an SLR without a short telephoto? So I hunted up a nice looking Nikkor 105/2.5 ... another old classic that I used to have, it'll inspire me to pull out the F and do some shooting with it.

And on it goes... G

An E. Leitz 5cm ƒ/2 Summitar from B&H used department. It was held up in shipment due to the ice storm (we still have a glacier in our backyard). Lovely condition. Lovely pictures. It came yesterday and I spent the day pestering my wife and dog.

Minolta M-Rokkor 40mm for the used Leica CL purchased a few years ago. Foolishly sold my new Leica CL with 40 and 90 lenses after only 1 year of use back in the 1970's. Finally decided that a CL makes a superior camera for travel.

I have been using a 135mm lens on my 4X5 camera for many years. The 40mm field of view on the 35mm frame is similar and familiar.

just bought 8 expired rolls of Kodak Gold 200 135. 2€ per roll plus shipping... expired 7 years ago. not a killer deal but still ok. i'll have to quickly shoot through a roll now to find the right iso for the other rolls
must have been bought at the 6,99€ for a 3-pack time. so win-win for both of us i guess

If it was stored cold, box speed or 160 should be fine. I personally shoot fresh Gold 200 at 125 to boost shadow detail
