lots of x-pro1 and 18/35 lenses...

I think Fuji sells a lot of them and some people just aren't going to be satisfied. Seems the AF is what people react negatively to vs. a DSLR.

those that can afford to try out every new camera, (in concept), after a few months, make up their mind. Yea or Na.....NA = SELL FAST before a new model is introduced.

The Leica M model is out of the box, people start reading initial testers reviews about them.
It might lead to another explosion on lens prices and another depreciation of camera bodies.
Just my 2 cents of course. I've known to be wrong before...

I think part of the answer is that there are plenty of buyers who are just ill informed and expecting a camera that isn't really what they think it is. I mean, for a long time DSLR user the X-Pro1 would probably come as a bit of a shock when they try it out after purchasing it untried on the interweb.
In the UK a lot of Leica main dealers are selling the Fuji X system I notice and maybe many long time Leica users feel that at the price they are getting a cut price M9 but the reality to them once tried is completely different to their expectations.
All I know is it sure creates a bargain for others who know pretty well what they are buying into. I've only had my used X-Pro1 & 35mm for a day and I can't stop grinning. One persons loss, another persons gain.
After coming from the Leica M8 to the Sony NEX-7 and then onto the Fuji I know I couldn't be any happier right now.

Enjoy Life.
Early adopters are finicky, they'll move in to the next "new" thing. People looking for the "magic bullet" will do the same.

I noticed that as well, but there aren't nearly as many as the used Canon 5D3s and Nikon D800s that hit the market a few weeks after release.
Overall, I think that the Fuji X system is doing very well. No need to worry!

The best camera is one that still works!
Rampant consumerism on an exponential curve.
Every time you blink at the moment there is a new camera on the horizon and some people just want to try them all.

It's a very expensive "2nd" camera for serious photographers so a lot of people prolly offer them up if they need cash. It's also a difficult camera to get the most out of. It challenges you to really learn it's strengths and weaknesses.
Personally I'm sort of annoyed about the XE-1. It's 95% a Pro1 and way cheaper. My pro1 is not weather sealed, does not have a longer lasting battery, does not AF faster, does feel better in my hands, but that's it. I might have waited had I known I could have saved a bunch of money. I'm also personally finding the OVF useless without some digital way of manually focusing. I wish they would develop a digital split image that works with the heads up display of the OVF or something like it.
For now I think the Pro2 is gonna kill it. It's obviously going to have phase detect on sensor and then we'll get that ridiculous AF that people complain about not having. Personally with the current firmware I think the AF is more than fine, but whatever I'll take improvements too. If they improve the battery, seal it, add phase detect, then MAYBE it can finally be a true replacement for a DSLR.
If you're patient with the camera you can get a lot more out of it, but that requires, ya know, patience.

Bunk. Shooters are staying with the 5D III/D800/1DX/D4/D3S. Rich dudes are buying Leica's, same as always. Actual film shooting pros are buying Contax 645s, Pentax 67s, and Hasselblad H1s.
Considering the Fuji X forum has grown 500 members in the past 10 days, I would say it's today, not yesterday.
There is always lots of gear turnover. Even Monochroms, which are hard to get right now, are being seen for sale on forums. This is normal, not unusual.
I sold 3 new Monochroms yesterday and today, not bad for an $8k purchase. But there are LOTS more Fujis getting sold than Leicas, that goes without saying.

That's actually not far from the real truth. There was a hell of a buzz when Fuji made it clear they were entering the serious compact market but like all news eventually it becomes stale. The frenzy at RFF and generally across the net when the X100 was announced, hasn't been seen for any new camera since IMO.
Well if that's the case, it was "so last two years ago."
But I'm not seeing that at all. There is great interest in the X100S and the upcoming lenses.
