I'm looking for a zoom to go with my GF1 + 20mm

I owned an Olympus E-P1 at one point with the 14-42mm kit lens.

Is that basically the smallest and/or the lightest zoom lens available for the m4/3 mount?

Don't know if it's the smallest lightest but they recently came out with a second version for the E-PL series that is supposed to be more solid feeling and quieter. So either you should be able to get the older one cheaper or you'd want to pick up the newer one if you care about the more solid/quiet thing. It has some acronym that means it's quiet enough to use for video or something.

Depends on what focal length range you want to have. But, the Olympus M.Zuiko 9-18 is hard to beat. Tiny, light, and it gives you 18-36mm equivalent (takes 52mm filter).

For normal, you will be better off with Panny original 14-45mm zoom (not the newer 14-42mm model)

I'm looking for a mid-range zoom. 24-70 (equiv FOV of 35mm format). Size of lens and weight are also major factors.. All other factors are not considered.

I believe that only leaves 14-42 Oly in the mix.
