Film, digital, any format, new, old, emotional reaction, workhorse, doesn't matter why...

What ONE camera is working for you the best and why?

Favourite: Pentax MX or Zeiss-Ikon Super Ikonta B, it's a tie.

Working for me: D700 with three Tokina AT-X lenses. Because it pays the mortgage, sends the kids to school and college and butters the bread.

I'd love to say my M3 with Amedeo-adapted Sonnar, just 'cuz it is so beautiful (in all ways). The truth is that the best answer is likely my old Mk.I RX-100. It has just never, ever let me down.

I would say that my favorite is my Canon 7 with a Leica 50mm Summar. It's a gorgeous portrait combo. Tired of laser sharp lenses.

My current favourite is my M type 240.

My two old workhorses are my Canon 50D and 5D (the original one).

My long-time, had it forever and still use it, favourite would have to be my OM-4T, despite my M3 having more work of late.

M240 here also. :) Best workhorse without a doubt is my D700 and my emotional choice has to be my OM-1.

In digital, X100 over M9 due to its size and the fact that I am using the 35mm field of view for 90% plus of my photos. In film, M2 for its viewfinder.

NEX-6, it's a digital but in the rangefinder gestalt.. Gorgeous (albeit electronic) viewfinder on the upper left hand side like on an M or a Hexar.

Forgot the why part of the question !

About the MP, it's such a simple camera that always works just like I expect it to, it's been reliable and dependable in every situation I put it through. I love that it's purely mechanical and the .58 VF (I wear glasses). And it's so damn beautiful !

I meant for you guys to pick one camera ...

OK then ... based purely on emotion my OM-1! :p

edit ... and I'll add that it's probably been my favourite camera since I first got it and looked through that amazing finder. :)

Maitani was a god!

My Leica M4 has been getting all the love for the last few weeks. It's equipped (now) with a Zeiss Biogon 35mm f2 that fits on it like a glove. :)

That's the one camera...

Not an easy question to answer.
That said, the one I reach for more often is my Pen F with a couple of lenses. Often the 25mm f4 and 38mm f1.8, one mounted mounted and one in the pocket.

(Yeah, I know, f4 is slow for a 35mm AOV lens. Thing is the 25mm f2.8 is much more uncommon and very expensive and longer and heavier. So I manage.)

For pure versatility and reliability, and knowing that I got the picture, the Canon 5D Mark II with an EOS-OM adapter.

I like film a lot, and have the cameras to prove it, but when the shot just has to be right without struggles and worries, the Canon wins the day.
