Leica M9, 25mm, 35mm, 50mm, 90mm

I also own a 135mm but rarely use it. And I'd really like to purchase a decent quality 21mm.

15mm and 25mm - so I voted for 15 and 24 on your poll (seemed close enough). I have the very nice CV LTM scale focus lenses. Wide angle was the first reason for delving into RF photography for me. I absolutely love the 15 for architecture and urban scenes.

My most used focal length other than 35 and 50 is 28, although I also use some fixed lens RFs with 40 mm lenses.

28 most often for my wides, and I find myself using the 85/90 range quite a bit – an 85mm ƒ/1.8 for the Nikon SLRs, and my 180mm ƒ/4.5 on the Mamiya RZ67 (90mm equiv) on a regular basis. I'll probably add a 90mm for the Contax body soon.

I use 21 and 90 way more than I use a 35mm. 50mm is my most used though, at least for the 35mm rangefinders.

120/210/450 for 5x7 for what it's worth. :)

Looking at my Flickr sets, I'd say the 50s and 35s get most of my use, with the 28s and the 21 coming in at 3rd and 4th.

For the RF there lingers a 25/4 & a 12/5,6 beside the standard 50/1,4 in the bag and a 85 will follow sooner or later.

The rangefinder lenses I use most frequently are CV 21 & 24, Nikon 35 1.8 and 105 2.5.
Additionally, I have other lenses used less often.
In (approximate) frequency of usage they are:
Nikon 28, Nikon 85, Nikon 50 1.4 and Nikon 135.

Short set with the Leicas - 21, 35, 75, 135. If I carry other options, I spend too much time thinking about which lens to use and not enough time shooting.

1.8 factor

1.8 factor

Most used RF lenses are CV 28/3.5 and CV 50/2.5.
If required also CV 15/4.5, CV 50/1.5 and Elmar-M 90/4.

Why these focal lengths? It could be the math behind it...
15mm*1.8
28mm*1.8
50mm*1.8
90mm
