I'd like a 50mm f/1.5 or f/1.4 for Nikon SLR mount that has the same kind of clean wide-open performance and graceful background blur as the RF 50mm f/1.5 Nokton. I suppose it's not easy to do, since the new Nikon 50 f/1.4 doesn't (from what I've read). Maybe the 58mm f/1.4 Nokton is close enough.

1. Fast 24/25 say @ f2, f1.8 or f1.4.
1a. I meant a fast 21mm, f2 or f2.8 would be nice but an f1.4 would knock some sense into Leica's pricing for their 21mm 'lux
2. Fast, 28 @ f1.4
3. Lower cost collapsible 50, the heliars are nice but how about something in the $200 range
4. AF rangefinder similar to the Hexar
5. and of course, FF Digital RF

Id like to see three lenses come to the fore very soon.
#1 priority: a solid compact and sharp 90mm in M-mount.
at least f.3.5 or better.
#2 a an improved formula for a compact 75MM in M-mount
f 2.5
#3 1.5 50 Nokton M-Mount.

a nice inexpensive 5omm in an m mount - and bring back the olive green finish on the camera bodies.

Voigtlander's lenses will never create competition to Zeiss's lenses...
The lenses below meet this requirements:
1. Super Wide Heliar 12mm f4.0
2. Wide Heliar 18mm f2.8 fast and wide)
3. Wide Heliar or Wide Ultron 21mm f2.0
4. Ultron 25mm f2.0
5. Nokton Asph 28mm f1.4 (Even Leica doesn't have this lens)
...and restyle old LTM lenses to M-mount
Ultra wide heliar 12mm 5.6
Color Scopar 28mm f3.5
Color Scopar 50mm f3.5

"Retro style" 40mm viewfinder (like the metal 28mm and 35mm)
"Retro style" 40mm viewfinder (like the metal 28mm and 35mm)
Something I would love to see: a 40mm external viewfinder in the style of the 28mm and 35mm metal VC finders. I am using the plastic 40mm finder with my CLE M-Rokkor, and have no technical complaints. It's just that the thing really looks quite alien on top of a M2.
I understand though that VC might not want to cut into the sales of their R3-bodies which have a 40mm frameline. But on the other hand, this could encourage users to buy their 40mm lens and use it on bodies that don't feature 40-framelines.

I'd love to see Cosina offer a 28mm f2.8 (or faster) SLII lens, maybe even with the close-up attachment similar to the 40mm SLII. The 28 would give me something like a 40mm lens on my Nikon D90.

I'd like to see Dual Range eyes/lens kit. How about bringing Nokton 50/1.5 in M mount with DR capability??

I'd love to see more lenses in the zf/zk/ze ultron range. I'd love a fast f2 pancake or near pancake in 28mm, and maybe a tiny little ultra wide pancake - 15mm or 14mm for my 5d. Don't care if the ultra wide is an f4 or f5.6 - just as long as it's tiny and super sharp.

A modern 50mm manual focus fast lens for ze/zf/zk would be nice too, although I suppose it would probably be too close the the zeiss offerings. If only the 50mm planar wasn't so crap.

not actually
How about more chrome M lenses? Black lenses look nasty on my silver ZM.

Doesn't have to be called a Bessa, a Cosina M mount modification on the Samsung NX10 + suitable firmware. A stop gap solution till something better appears. There's no chance an M mount adapter will fit the NX10.

A small 28mm lens would be ideal for me... the Ultron is just too large.

My cup runneth amok.
A CL clone, or at least something CL-sized; metered, with appropriate, non-telephoto framelines. M-mount. Re-invent the interchangeable-lens lightweight travel rangefinder.
And how about a coupled hotshoe meter specifically for use with Nikon S3s and SPs?

Mr. K has fullfilled my wish for a compact traveller screwmount lens of high correction and f/3.5.
My next wish is, seriously, a fullframe digital RF w. SCREWMOUNT and a higher ISO than Leica M9. Not necessary: viewing screen, or a sensor with more MP than old Canon 5 EOS (Mark 1).

A fixed lens compact rangefinder
A fixed lens compact rangefinder
ok, I didn't have the time to check the whole thread, so I don't know if this has been proposed before, but here it goes:
I'd love to see the reintroduction of a fixed lens rangefinder camera, you know, in the style of the classic canonets, ricohs 500, minolta hi-matics, etc. BUT a modern one in features:
- A silent electronic shutter in the style of the one in the Bessa III
- A fast compact lens: a 35mm F2 with something like the Konica Hexar lens design would be great!!!, a 40mm F2 would be great too.
- I should be as small as possible. I'm talking here of a size closer to that of the Ricoh 500G than the size of a Konica Hexar or a Minolta Hi-Matic 11.
- Of course, it will be manually focused with a rangefinder
- It will offer aperture priority mode and fully manual control.
- A range of slow (under 1 sec) speeds available, for example up to 15 or 30 seconds plus B mode with a little LCD counter telling the time the shutter is kept open in B mode.
- Manual film advance lever, no motor please.
- It will be nice looking

I would like to see a stereo lens and finder setup, identical to the discontinued and ridiculously expensive Leica STEMAR-M. Given the lack of competition, rarity and relative demand in this segment, especially given the advent of 3D TV's and monitors... I would buy one.
Ezzie, that lens would be bigger than your Tamron 17-50 by a significant margin.

A small 50/1.5 Nokton, with both a smaller length (I'd love something in the size of the 35/40 Noktons) and a smaller filter size. The design could be similar to the LTM version, which I like very much, only the lens would be more smaller (diameter equal to mount ring would be nice). M mount or not, I'd enjoy it greatly!
