I've tried their website the last 3 days without success. Have they stopped their online business or maybe they are observing a holiday? Anyone know?

No they have a new website...did a complete rework. It works Ok for me.
I was just there today just to see if they have any new stuff. Good Luck

I have to say the new website looks a bit like "scam" site. I like the old one a lot more.

Give them a call. I purchased a Leica Summar from collectible cameras last month (before the new website). I placed the order over the phone with Sandy Ritz himself. :)

I've bought alot of stuff from them. I can never remember the URL so I just google ritzcam to find the site.

I don't think it looks like a scam (auto-generated click trap, my definition) site, but I do notice that they put pictures besides the items. That is cool, but at the same time, less stuff per page.

I often wandered about their old website, glad to know that people actually do business with them and they are legit.

Look at that $899 Ikoflex III ... yowza!

Will, from time to time throughout the years I have found really great stuff on Sandy's site. Not too long ago I got a really good price on a Serenar 85/2 for my Canon &s. I've been pretty satisfied with what I've ordered.

Ritzcam.com and Collectiblecameras.com are the same company, but different web interfaces. I always used Ritzcam (I guess) or Collectiblecameras looked the same until recently.

I can recommend them whole heartedly. I bought my user M2 from them, got a great price imo ($415 shipped) and the guy I dealt with (Bill I think) was extremely patient in dealing with me. I bid on the auction on ebay, it didn't hit the reserve, we talked back and forth about price, told me the lowest he could possibly let it go for, I agreed, but was too broke to pay it at the time. He promised me he would keep it waiting for me and not sell it until I told him I was no longer interested. About 3 weeks later I finally paid him, recieved my M2 shortly thereafter in better condition than I was expecting (except for the described pinholes in one curtain, which I patched).

So, I was originally intent on getting a Canon 7, or a Canon P, and ended up getting an M2 for a little bit more. I'm happy.

I wonder what it is about website owners that makes them think they have to re-do every so often. Sure, it gives website designers something to do, but it also forces everyone to get used to a new format. And somehow they usually seem to become more complicated. Why not leave well enough alone??

I for one like the change. The old one was not in the least appealing but I knew that Sandy was a good guy to deal with so I did order from him. The new format seems to have it all together for right now anyway.

while lack of photos and/or dead links to photos on the old site was annoying, the old site was easier to scan quickly

I am more likely to visit sites that I can use efficiently and quickly
