Minolta X700 with 28mm and 50mm lenses - 1999 to 2007 - relied on this simple combo for 8 solid years during which I think I made some of the best stuff I'll ever shoot. Sat is closet from 2007 when I began to play with larger formats. Now given to my brother.
Mamiya 6MF + 50mm - 2007 to 2012 - dream MF camera and much nicer VF than any Leica. Used it mostly for colour work but let it go after getting a DSLR which gets the job done more easily for colour (though admitedly with nothing like the IQ that the Mamiya 50mm packs)
Shen Hao and Ebony 4x5, Canham 5x7 - 2008 to 2012 - dabbled in LF for a few years before realising it's not the format for me. Selling the kit.
Leica M6 with 28mm Elmarit ASPH and Voigt and Zeiss 35mm lenses - 2010 to 2012 - Fantastic lenses. Didn't get on with the Leica though and sold after 18 months.
Nikon system, comprising FM3a (2009), F6 (2010) and D700 (2012) - after selling my MF and LF kit, I've come to realise that this trio provides a really flexible combination that does everything I require of a camera. Sure, I don't enjoy the IQ or enlargement that I enjoyed with the Mamiya but for me, this disadvantage is outweighed by the increased flexibility of a Nikon system. Funnily though, I miss the character of the Minolta lenses I started out with and so, just for kicks and since MD glass is such good value these days, I keep a
Minolta system comprising XD7, SR102, 24mm, 35mm f1.8, 50mm f1.4, and 58mm f.12
So after 14 years of shooting and trying most stuff in between, my dabbles and daliances with various exotic camera have led me back more or less to where I started - with SLRs, albeit that Nikon is now my main system rather than Minolta.
