Hi!

as another thread asks about your latest purchase I go the other way and ask for your latest sold item and maybe why you sold it.
My latest sale was my Leica V-Lux1 because I rarely used it.

Regards

I try not to buy things I don't expect to use (of course I do anyway). But nonetheless, I have yet to sell anything. I intend to some time soon. I in fact have too much I am not now, nor probably ever will use. How many 4x5 cameras can one use? I did give one to my future son-in-law, along with a lens and 6x7 back. Does that count? :p

I sold a CV 25/4 LTM lens and VF. I have a 25/4 M and the R4A has the necessary framelines, so I didn't need the LTM version any more.

Canon 50mm F/1.8 FD Lens
Canon 70-200 F/4 L Lens
Canon BG-E2 grip

annoyingly, I did not sell my 40D!

Best regards,
RoyM

My black M2. I had bought it as a backup while my M7 was away for repair at Leica Solms. Should have kept the M2 though, the M7 has a new defect .... :bang:

The one that is causing me most pain, is selling my beautiful black Nikon F NKG body. It is a classic. But, part of me has "moved on" regarding collecting and using.

I keep a Nikon F2 titanium, and that will allow me to use my Nikon lenses.

....Vick

A Cosina CX-2 I picked up at a thrift store. Neat little camera but I couldn't justify holding on to it when they were going for $120 on ebay. That camera more or less paid for my Olympus 35RD CLA.

I've got a few more rangefinders to finish cleaning, testing, etc before they go out the door - a Canonet 17, Ricoh 500 and a few others.

Sold a Contax T3. GHreat lens but I never got used to the menu and then went mainly digital.

Thinking of selling my Rollei MX Type2. Has a case, Rolleinar 35mm attachment, some filers and a close-up attachment.

Have owned it for a long time but I don't use it enough.

M2, rather publicly, with the aid of RFF members. But I have another. How many M-series Leicas does anyone need? I'd sell the M4P if it were worth the effort: I'd still have an M2 and an MP. But it looks like hell and is probably worth more to me as a spare than I'd get for it.

Cheers,

R.

well, the very last photo 'gear' I sold was a white plastic actionsampler, yesterday. I had bought more than 1yr and a half in London really cheap to give as xmas gifts for some friends, but ended up giving them other things.

the last 'big' photo gear I sold was my Canon 50/0.95 in M mount, it was too heavy/big and I just wasn't using it enough to be worth keeping it. I've seen some shots taken with it by its new owner and I'm happy it's getting proper use :)

I'm still trying to sell a Heliar 15mm LTM and a Summicron 90 v1 locally...

It is not often that I sell photo gear but the last item I sold was a type T viewfinder screen for the Nikon F2. The type T screen had frame lines that helped in the composition of images shot on slide film that would be used on television. The only reason I sold it was because I had three of them and did not need that many.

I have never sold a camera and am trying to convince myself that I should sell those I do not not have time to use. Sigh....

Lateley I've sold all my Barnack Leicas due to lack of use.

Once I've got it repaired, my Pentacon Six is next in line. Again due to lack of use.

A Chinon CE-3 body with motor drive and a number of Pentax screw-mount lenses and accessories. Very nice camera, supposed to be the most advanced Screw-mount lens compatible body available.
I was actually sorry to sell it, but just couldn't justify running yet another film system with overlapping/duplicate lenses.
