What's your latest photo gear you sold?

who can remember?

i sell because i quite often buy to try something out and see how it fits within my little photo world.

i am quite content with my current kit so who knows when i will sell again?

I went old school and sold 50 lux asph, 35 cron asph, VC 15 mk2, 28 M-Hex, MP, Canon 28-70 L and Canon 70-200 L f4 IS and bought M6 2k, Noctilux, 35 cron v4, 50 lux pre-asph e46 bp. I figured "sharp enough" is good enough to me :)

wow, many hits!
Many thanks for your input!

I remember now my latest rangefinder I sold - it was a Contax G2. I did this only because I had three of them

I just sold a like new Pentax 67II with AE prism and a 105mm and 75mm lens for it. I have too many cameras. Still have a 67II. - Jim

I sold a Canon G9 as my wife bought me an Olympus E-p1 :) and had no reason to keep the G9. I bought it for £205 on sale and sold it for £213 after 2 years use.

My last sale was probably my 85/1.4 Contax N-Mount lens. With the sale of my N Digitals it just wasn't getting used much.

Sellers remorse on both the N Digitals and the 85mm. That lens was one of the finest pieces of glass I've ever used, far better than the mm Contax version.

I recently sold my beloved Mamiya 6 here on RFF, as well as Ricoh R8. Will miss both, for sure, but have not used either as much as I would like to justify having them around...

Sold my Canon F-1 to help pay for a Canon Elan 7n when I started college.

Sold all my Canon equipment to pay for a Leica M8 when I started my professional career.

Sold a Panasonic DMC-L1 and Olympus e-620 to pay for a Nikon D2x when I was doing more sports and events.

Sold a Nikon D2x to help pay for a Canon 5D mk II and lenses when I needed a good all around camera in a hurry after dropping my Leica M9.

Then sold my Leica M8 to pay for another Leica M9 because I miss working with a rangefinder.

The last two are within the past month. I don't like selling stuff because I always take a huge hit on the price, but the truth is it's stuff that goes unused or gets replaced so why keep it. Though I do miss my old collection of Canon EF lenses and my original F-1.

Canon EOS 1Dmark II N and Canon 24-70mm f2.8. Need cash for school.
Soon I will be selling my 70-200mm lens too.

I recently sold a CV 28/1.9. Ever since I got a Biogon to go with my M2, 28mm started to make less sense, that and I needed a little extra cash...

I'm shipping off my Nikon Coolscan V ED today. I offered it here for sale, but no takers. I offered it here for trade, but no takers. I have had my last gasp, oft repeated, over and over again foray into a sentimental, one-last-try Leica-and-film adventure but I am unable to afford or sustain it.

The M6's gone. Now, the scanner is gone. Film is a memory for me.

The inevitable future is digital all the way for me.

I've sold (and bought) a bunch of stuff over the last year. The last thing was a Nikkor 28-70 2.8 that I rarely used but had such a difficult time selling. I've got to figure out this whole gear psychology.

I have other stuff I ought to sell, but it's such a bother- tire kickers, chiselers, nit-pickers just suck the joy out of the process. I wish there was a massive gear swap place where I could walk in with my bag of stuff to go and deal face to face with folks. Ah, well.

Sold a 90mm Tele-Elmarit in chrome on the auction site recently due to lack of use - something like 5 exposures in the last 2 years. Turns out buyer was a RFFer. Also about to sell an R 180mm 2.8 for the same reason. Have just given away an R7 to brother-in-law as he sold me, some 2 years ago, an M2, 35mm summicron v4 and 50mm collapsible summicron for the princely sum of £800 - and all in superb condition too.

AMEN, brother.

it's not so bad....

and if it truly were...why would you want to meet those people in person?
