Hello!
I have only laptops at home and their displays aren't good, so I would like to buy a monitor for about 100 € on Ebay. Any recommandations? I can't buy a decent LCD for the money, but I saw some Lacie blueIV CRTs for about 100€. Do anybody have any other manufactuters/models to recommend?
Thanx

I use a Viewsonic "UltraBrite" (isn't that a toothpaste?) monitor at the suggestion of a co-worker for my photo computer.
It's really intended for gaming, but he said it would probably give me the best brightness range of any which were stocked at the local shops.
Even though it has the UltraBrite mode, I almost always have it in normal mode.
I don't do any color management yet, but that is on my do-it list.

The whole Sony model range is very well regarded.

mitsubishi DP93SB or you can find it as an NEC (same monitor)
Excellent graphics CRT. I work in advertisng as an art director and this is a very common monitor among graphics pros and photographers. No complaints. And cheaper than Lacie. I own two.

Look for the high-end models.
Short of a $20,000 studio monitor, the Sony Artisan was probably the best CRT monitor ever made.
