Oh I thought the lens looked too big to be the Pre-aspherical but I couldn't see Asph on the lens in the pics. That makes complete sense now!

Well, if that was the case, then every camera would just look exactly the same. There is nothing wrong with taking photos and admiring a camera.

I think the point is that they do not... not if they did. There is a reason that they all look different and it isn't all about ergonomics. Based on your signature, I doubt that you don't fetishize certain cameras yourself.

They are kept to take photos with, and are rubbed bruised and worn because of this, but then I thought that that was what photography was, my mistake!!

The M5 and biogon is coolest and best looking. It's the only camera leica ever designed that looks like is should be in the hands of a real man.
