Some Nikon long lenses have a filter holder in the middle of the lens (maybe between some of its elements or groups), and I guess those lenses (as my friend's 300mm) can be used, as he's been doing for some time, with or without filters...

Hi Juan, congrats on finding that elusive black CV 28/3.5! Even better that you found one in Europe

Yea, it would be interesting to see if the ones for the reflex Nikkors are the same as for the normal tele lenses. Chances are not though. In any event, I am sure you will like that 28/3.5.

Thanks, Bob... Surely I'll enjoy the lens, especially with my R4M's clean 28 framelines...
I'll use it very soon, and maybe share here some shots...

With mine, it doesn't have a filter for I don't want to put one on, thus I have to take care of the lens very carefully.
Enjoy you lens:

Thanks, jonwo... Yesterday I used it for the first time, on my R4M, and it was great framing with the clean 28 lines... I shot with pushed Tri-X on an overcast day... I'll try to finish the roll today... I can't wait!

similar feeling when I got mine
it was at early evening and I just couldn't wait to take the lens with me and tried to finish a roll that has around 13 exp left; it was getting dark and this is a f/3.5 lens! I just had to use 1/8th and 1/15th wide open, the worst thing is that I have to wait till tomorrow noon to get it processed, how exciting I was!
The next day when the roll developed and I couldn't wait longer to scan them and here's the satisfaction.
You won't be disappointed, well I didn't

Yesterday I had a lot of light: 1/500 f/8 being overcast... Pushing Tri-X is great when the light is flat... Right now I was about to go shooting the other half of the roll, and a blazing sun just came out... I must forget it until tomorrow or who knows when!
