One of my other $5.00 cameras I had long ago, and somehow it disappeared when I moved 5 years ago. Anyone know the model number? Sorry it's not the greatest photo, but it is all I have of that particular camera. What I do remember is taking some great photos with it.

sohc, it looks very similar to my minimatic-C. Did it have a selinium cell around the front lens element? The 45mm F/2.8 lens gives excellent results, but can suffer from flare, due to not being able to use a lens hood.

I don't recall if it had on or not.

Does sohc come with 4 valves or 2 ?
My username has nothing to do with "overhead" or "cams." ;)

It looks to be one from the Yashica 'Minister' series. I have a Minister-D which closely resembles your image. At first I thought it may be a Lynx but I now seem to think it is a Minister.
The one thing that might through my ID out of the window is the front lens surround which I cannot make out in your image - was there a selenium cell around the front element and is the covering of the camera grey?

After looking at a bunch of photos online, I believe it's a Minister, but no idea s to what model. Mine had a different dial on top.

I am now going to search through the madness of my old prints and try to find another photo of that camera.

I am so mad now that it is gone...

Try yashicaguy.com he may well be able to identify your camera from the image you have. Differences in the top plates and controls were not uncommonn between Yashica series / models.
