The first was taken with my R-D1 and Canon 35 2.8 lens, the second with my GRD II.

Machu Picchu, May '08, taken with a Canon 30D and 17-55/2.8 IS - although I have a nearly identical image taken with a Canon G9, my backup camera.

That is a superb image, one to print big and treasure for a long time.

This could be an excellent RFF book project, possibly through Blurb or the likes. Any thoughts? I've done some in the past which have turned out reasonably well.

Just a couple of favorite images of my girl. I snap at least one or 2 every time I see her. This was with a Nikon 35TI and Neopan 400. This is MY best of 2008 and hopefully 2009.

Would have to be this one I guess, taken during Chinese New Year in London (Feb 2008):

I chose this because I forced myself to interact with the subject (whom I did not know), build some rapport, and get a decent "street" photo (OK, it's in a church, but same idea). This does not come naturally to me.

Sorry for interrupting images stream but... what is that film/dev/etc combo? That contrast and grain drives me crazy (and I enjoy it).

hi, i was experimenting diff film & labs at that stage so best go to my flickr stream to check out which photo used what. I think around then it's probably Delta 100 & Rodinal - but i also played with HP5+ and TMAX.

Attach a couple of favourites from this year. First is M2, 50 Collapsible Cron, TriX@400 and second is Contax IIa, CD 50 1.5 Sonnar, Trix@1600

I made this image after three days of hiking on the Inca Trail. I had to run the last 2 miles down psycho Inca stairs and trail to capture this light, totally worth it though.
I went to Machu Picchu too! Here's a shot from my M6 and CV 21 f4 on Provia 100F:

I've taken a LOT of pictures this year, probably more than any other by far. But the one picture I took this year that means the most to me - is this picture I took of my mom while I was with her for her birthday. Sadly, two weeks later she passed away (it was a bit of a surprise/shock to all).

Lovely. And quite a special memory.

My wife praying over our greyhound, Zoomer, who at the time was dying of bone cancer. Since then, he has had his leg amputated and is courageously fighting a recovery.

Leica MP, 50/f1.4 Summilux, and Arista Premium 400.

Oh, this is just too hard to pick a favorite!

Here's a couple taken with my evil DSLR.
