Your dream film M kit...what is it?

My M4 and my old M2 with TA rapidwinder.
A 21mm f/3.4 SA, 35mm Summilux pre-asph, a 5cm f/1.4 Nikkor LTM, my 50mm DR 'Cron, a Noctilux f/1 (not .95,) a 10.5cm Nikkor and a 135mm Tele-Elmar. Maybe a 28mm too but that's not a priority.

If we're allowed only 1 camera and 1 lens then my M4 and my DR 'Cron fit the bill quite well.

Musing over this...I'm Happy with what I have

Though it would be Quite Fun to try : 21 Elmarit which focuses down to 0.4....

jbrianfoto--one of your Ms looks suspiciously like a Nikon F3---
A conspiracy? :)

Yup, they're like Gremlins, put 'em in a bag and add a little water .......out come more cameras (I didn't have a shot of just my M bodies, so this one had to do).

Right now I am whoring with my M9 mated to a small Zeiss Biogon C 35/2.8. Heaven (but I will soon return to the M3)

Like Steve Bingley, I have my dream kit(s) already... and I used them according to the mood or feel. It may be one of my M6TTL bodies with a 35mm lens, or my M4-2 with another 35mm lens (the Konica Hexanon 35/f2 fits here), an M5 body with a 35mm or 90mm lens... or, when I want to challenge myself, my M3 with a collapsible 'cron. No need for speed here, or lust for BP bodies. I have my dream team already assembled and in residence... I'm lucky, I think. :)

I'm fortunate to have my dream kit already, BP Leica MP, .58 finder and 35mm Summicron ASPH
If I wanted to dream a little more I'd ask for a 50mm summilux pre-asph and a 28mm elmarit ASPH (that thing is tiny !)

Since we're dreaming I'd love a Ralph Gibson signature MP. Beautiful camera.

. . . . . did a search and saw that it had the angled rewind crank, no frame selector and no 28 or 75 in the viewfinder, but did include the shutter release and shutter-release socket have been blackened in order for the frame counter to be the brightest highlight when one looks down, and burgundy leather.

List price on his site is $9500.00

I think you could come close to configuring a camera for a lot less using the a la carte function.

Hope you do get the camera of your dreams some day!

Over the last few months, I put together most of my dream kit.
Single stroke chrome M3 with a summitar 50mm and '58 M2, no self-timer with a jupiter 12. I am very, very happy with my set-up.

But I am a human being, and greed never stops rearing it's ugly head, so I'm looking for a DR Summicron, dreaming of a 90mm tele-elmarit. My heart flutters a little whenever I see a goggled 135 elmarit, and I despair of ever getting the funds together for a nice 35mm summicron or even a 28mm...
And I would like a VC light meter or a digisix. And a super solid tripod that folds down to a size I can hide in my beard. And a developing machine that can handle b/w and C41. And one of those lovely enlargers that Mr. Puts has written about, that automatically adjust contrast and exposure from reading the densities on your negs.

I think I'm good for a few years of yearning, scraping and praying.
