Your favourite photo(s) you took with a TLR

Automat/Xenar/XP2.

This is so good it just makes me want to .... go....shoot some film or something. Well seen.

Rolleiflex 2.8A, Portra 400:

I like this one. Lovely pastels. And to think this is taken with the not so heralded 2.8 Tessar (or Opton?). I passed up on a cheap 2.8A because of all the bad feedback its been given. Obviously not all are bad!

Nice Vicky, but in fact I like the one with the gravel road even better. That I would have on my wall. None the less you are very consistent in the quality of you output. Well done. Looking forward to the book. :)

Very nice, Eirik. Shows what a can be done with a classic 50 year old camera in the hands of a meticulous photographer. I consider the Kalloflex to be an under-recognized gem.

P.S. I have been reading Jo Nesbo and am filled with Nordic dread. Should I be worried? :)

I took this photo just recently with my C330s. Scanned with my crappy flatbed scanner, so I think this one is worth getting scanned on a pro scanner and printed!

Finally got to take my Automat with Tessar out again this weekend, shot a roll of Portra 160. Always happy with the results with this camera.

Everyone has to have their taste! I like that picture too, the subject isn't original but few things are, I'm just glad to have put my stamp on a subject that has been done before.

Does make me want to go back mind and fill some gaps in ;)

Question about development: I'm sure I can find out about caffenol elsewhere on the web (links appreciated), but I'd be interested in more details about your stand development process with it. Time, temp, agitation, variables/issues encountered? Thanks.

P.S. I have been reading Jo Nesbo and am filled with Nordic dread. Should I be worried? :)
Jo Nesbø is getting quite a following I gather. I read two of his Harry Hole books and promptly lost interest. I prefer the Swedish crime scene though, Håkan Nesser and Henning Mankell to name a couple.

On the subject of Caffenol and (semi-)stand development. I wouldn´t say I´m an expert, though I have used several other Caffenol recipes over tha last year and 50 or so rolls of 120. Anyhow I use caffenol.blogspot.com site owner Reinhold´s C-C-L recipe, which is as follows (sorry, its all metric):
Sodium carbonate (washing soda, anhydrous): 16 grams per litre
Ascorbic acid (pure vitamin C powder): 10 grams per litre
Instant coffee (the cheaper the better): 40 grams per litre
Potassium bromide (restrainer to avoid fogging and uneven development): Depends on film, but 1-1.5 grams per litre is a good starting point.

NOTE: This is a low pH developer, and if you get the mixture wrong you may end up getting no development at all, or way too much. Very important you get the measurements right, and that you are confident that your ingredients are what they say they are. I would recommend you start off with a more robust version first. A good and tolerant combination to start with is TMX i C-C-M. The recipe can be found on the same site. I expose EI80-160 and develop for 14 minutes @ 20C/68F, with the normal 12 initial, then 3 inversion per minute agitated regime.

Back to C-C-L:

For Neopan 400 @ EI 400 I developed for 60 minutes @ 20C/68F. I overcooked it a bit. Should ideally have exposed for EI 800 and kept the development as is. However, this was done semi stand. 12 inversions initially, then 2 inversions at the 1, 2, 4, 8, 16 and 32 minute marks. Then let stand for the duration. Water stop for 1 minute (fill 6 times and empty), then fix and wash as you would normally.

For Rollei Retro 400 @ EI400. Same procedure, 56 minutes @ 20C/68F

For Delta 400 @ EI 800. Same procedure, 60 minutes @ 20C/68F

For TMX @ EI 100. Same procedure, 70 minutes @ 20C/68F
