Yashica Mat 124. Fuji NPS 160 developed in the bathroom.

Hi everybody!
I got a Yashica 44 LM from a very friendly member of this forum and after cleaning it I took it out to the nearby lake last weekend. I developed the film yesterday and I´m blown away by the images the camera produces. They are not... what I expected... but I love the way they came out and now I have to order more 127 films.

I´ll show you what I mean:

What do you think?

Processed at lab and had scanned then used NIK Silver Efex Pro 2 software for processing.

from the first roll through my 1971 Mamiya C330. The vignetting is from a round lens shade I had on it. Not stock.

Photomas,

a bit late, but I have to say that I really like the triptych of photos with the Yashica. Dreamy quality to them. I expected the Yashica to deliver all-over sharp negatives, but it seems it does not. Or at least this specimen does not. :)

just curious: what was you expecting?

Well, what was I expecting... No pinsharp images of course but I didn´t think that it would look this holga-like. But like I said before, I like the effect. Sure, it´s nothing for everyday shooting but when I feel a little "dreamy" it´s pretty cool. ;)

There is a film flatness issue present. Its possibly at the scanning stage, or the film was loaded incorrectly. It is also possible there is a lens alignment problem.
I like the pics but they should be tack sharp across the film plane.
Nice pics all the same !!

I know most of you don´t like this camera but I have a new to me Rollei Magic in almost mint condition. Everything (including the lightmeter) works fine and I took it out yesterday for some test shots. Here are a few results.

I have to say I like the camera and the pictures! They have an amazing sharpness and the tonality is really cool I think. Sure, I don´t have many options but to trust in the camera but sometimes that´s what I want. Simple MF shooting. I hope to try a color film next weekend.

Thomas

PS: Please excuse the low quality but I wanted to keep the filesize small.
