Light snow made a rather pleasing texture for this shot. May not come to its right on screen though.

OK, I have been playing a bit more with medium format. These are from my Yashica Mat 124G, on Ektar 100, with a hood. I have to learn a bit about this camera and it's eccentricities.
What I have learned so far:
This lens can flare with the best of them, even with a hood. I can't think of having the sun anywhere near the field of view, inside that hood (Rollei Bay 1 hood).
This is the first time I have used Ektar. It doesn't seem to have much latitude, specifically even in shots where I think I metered well the highlights were gone.
The meter in this bad boy sees quite a bit, I need to find a good neutral area to meter for the entire scene. I think it is sensitive to highlights. This may be part of and/or coupled with my impressions of Ektar.
When I get the focus right, the lens is pretty sharp.
And, depth of field is your friend in medium format. I have to start thinking f11 or f16 instead of f4 or f5.6.
