Colton, your photo brings back memories! When I was a teenager, my big aspiration in life was to own a VW Bug. I never did, but it still warms my heart to see one so nicely represented these many years later.

(They quit putting the crest at the end of the chrome strip on the front hood in 1963 because they always got pried off and stolen.)

This is my best friend's VW. It's all original 1961.

This is an old fire station in Gatineau Quebec, from the first roll I have put through a Minolta Autocord. Mine is the export model with Seikosha MX shutter and no self timer. Fuji Acros, deep yellow filter, developed in XTOL 1:1, 10 min at 20C.

Very nice first post, Bancosydney, and welcome to RFF.

The lighting, color, and atmosphere complement the mother and child for a heart-warming scene.

Thanks Murray --- although I should point out, those two are cousins: my niece would kill me if I didn't! I'm normally very strict about straight horizons, but I was balancing on a rock, shooting handheld, and in this shot I don't mind it.

I've enjoyed this forum, and especially this thread, for several years, and the time had come to join.
