A street shot I took some 20 years ago when I used a Rolleiflex TLR for the very first time. Obviously I struggled with composing with the WLF with magnifying glass on.
Not really a favorite TLR shot per se, but a memorable one for me.
Mamiya C3, 13.5cm/4.5, Plus-X. (The point at which I discovered that TLRs are ideal for photographing children, because: a) you're automatically at eye level; b) you can see whether their eyes are open; and c) they're absolutely quiet.)
Bored canal commuter. Shaoxing China. I read about the canal towns near Hangzhou China so after a business trip I set out to find one. I took a long distance bus from Hangzhou airport and landed in Shaoxing a town famous for a unique rice wine. I wandered around town aimlessly and ended up here. On the way back to the hotel I bought a bottle of famous Shaoxing wine and downed it with a packet of hot ramen. The wine was really good and I didn’t feel anything until I tried to get up.
I really enjoy framing a square. Seems there’s no room for extraneous elements. Rolleiflex Wide Angle 55mm Distagon Tmax 400
