What have you just BOUGHT?

Interesting. I have the Nikon F Hot Shoe Adapter for such purposes ... It puts the viewfinder slightly off to one side but with a 15mm (or 10mm) lens, the best viewfinder typically barely shows 80% of the full field of view so that error is inconsequential.

That's how I've always done it. And it works. And the little offset to the side is meaningless with a focal length of 12 mm. "CameraQuest" showed this part on its website, but it was out of stock for a long time. Then I saw it at a Japanese dealer and I was too weak to resist.

A Yashica 55mm UV for the Minister III, ring was slightly blemished but come up nice with a quick polish.

I just ordered a new MP from my local dealer but I’m kind of sweating this decision after reading so many posts of questionable QC from Leica with the new models.
Congratulations!

Don't worry, it'll be great. The last new Leica I bought was my M10 Monochrom in April of 2022. It was/is absolutely perfect, right out of the box, and is still perfect 4000+ exposures and 2.5 years later... as is typical for the the vast majority of Leica M cameras.

I'm sure you'll be delighted with your MP.

Even as a die-hard Nikon fan, I would buy a fully mechanical, all-metal Leica MP without hesitation.

I got one new about 18 months ago; also perfect, as was the M10-M that I bought new a little earlier.

The thing is, it seems a lot of us are buying new MPs, so who are the people buying the new M6?
