Interesting. I have the Nikon F Hot Shoe Adapter for such purposes ... It puts the viewfinder slightly off to one side but with a 15mm (or 10mm) lens, the best viewfinder typically barely shows 80% of the full field of view so that error is inconsequential.

That's how I've always done it. And it works. And the little offset to the side is meaningless with a focal length of 12 mm. "CameraQuest" showed this part on its website, but it was out of stock for a long time. Then I saw it at a Japanese dealer and I was too weak to resist.

A Yashica 55mm UV for the Minister III, ring was slightly blemished but come up nice with a quick polish.

Admittedly an f6 lens at this Latitude isn’t ideal. But I reckon I’ll be able to make it work this weekend by pushing some film to 1600 🤣 I am pleased to have added the Orion 15 to my soviet lens collection though 🙂

Don't worry, it'll be great. The last new Leica I bought was my M10 Monochrom in April of 2022. It was/is absolutely perfect, right out of the box, and is still perfect 4000+ exposures and 2.5 years later... as is typical for the the vast majority of Leica M cameras.

I'm sure you'll be delighted with your MP.

I just received this beautiful Leica II (1932) with its proper ERC (note the absence of the cut-out for the slow time setting on the front). The lens is spotless and everything seems to work as if it just had a CLA.
