What have you just BOUGHT?

While at a garage sale last month I picked up a 90s camera bag. I asked the lady " do you have any gear to go with it" she replied "I do but its in the crawl space , you'll have to come back at a another time' so a month went by and I was able dig everything out. four suitcases of prints, slides and cameras. I only wanted two cameras Mamiya 645 Pro and a Fuji GSW 690 III Pro. She told me "I'm separating you have to buy it all" I made my offer she declined to low. She said "it's a camera in there that's worth good money" so I kept digging in bags and suitcases. There it was a Hasselblad X Pan II with two lenses hardly used along with other accessories. My heart racing I gave her another offer she gave me her final price it was a done deal. I ended walking away with six cameras, unused film stock, tripods and a truck full of other items.
Quite the score!

Canon QL rangefinder.

In beautiful condition. All shutter speeds sound right. Viewfinder is bright. Will get battery to check if meter works but have been using iPhone app anyways. Feels solid and heavier than it looks as it is a small camera.
Great camera. I’ve been shoring mine this week. I had it cla’d by Mark Hamma 10 years ago and just changed the light seals again last week. Takes great pics.

$175 plus shipping from a trusted NJ seller.
Looks like new. Seller states all is working.
But after 50 years might be due for CLA, no?

I haven't owned a medium format camera in a decade or more...

I may have already noted here, that I recently bought a Light, Lens Lab close focus adapter for Leica M to L mount. I have now had it a few weeks and can say that I am pretty happy with it. It is very solidly and precisely made, feels good in the hand and also looks very good when mounted. It is a satin chrome "affair" and just like an older Leica lens has an identically styled infinity lock of the sort found on many LTM lenses.

It is an excellent piece of kit which works well affording closer focus on any lens mounted on it. The one slight issue I have is that I will often use a non Leica M lens (i.e. an SLR lens - for example a Nikon F mount lens using an F mount to Leica M mount adapter - stacking the two adapters. One such Nikon F mount to Leica M adapter I have, has a aperture adjustment ring which interferes with the infinity lock on the LLL adapter and thus cannot be mounted. This is not a significant issue however because I also have another F mount to M mount adapter which can be stacked with the LLL adapter without clashing. As indeed do all of my other SLR to M mount adapters. (I have several for various systems and mounts.) Overall I think its well worthwhile both because it is an extremely well-engineered product when used in "normal" mode and also because it allows closer focus than normal on any lens mounted on it.
