What have you just BOUGHT?

I believe it is pre war. I’ll see if I can figure out from he serial number when it arrives. Yes the condition is fantastic on both the camera and case. I was shocked to see the 645 mask still with it. I think there’s a type 2 with chrome top as opposed to the Bessa II from the 50’s???? I could be wrong as well. I couldn’t read that article but I’d love to. It’s behind a paywall.
You are in luck, the article was in the first box I looked in! Though a day off work with a filthy cold gave me the time to look, it's an ill wind...

for some reason I can't get them to upload in the right order... ho hum, they'll do!

I recently bought a Pro S kit with two lenses, two back, CDS prism finder and a few other accessories. The one thing I discovered about that setup is that it has many light seals -- what's the condition of the seals in your camera like?

I bought a Nikkor 35mm f1.8G DX lens in "Well Used" condition from MPB. It's mostly for use with my little Nikon D40, which doesn't autofocus with screw-drive lenses. I'll also use with my Fuji FinePix S2 Pro, which was a Nikon SLR body with APS-C Fuji-made DSLR innards.

So far I'm happy with it. Autofocus is plenty fast for me and the image quality is nice.

It's not landed yet Vince but from the pics they'll need doing and as you, I found out it's a lovely job to look forward to! I was going to do them anyway as it's for a project next year so want it up to scratch.

The Video I watched uses 2 different sizes and densities but in the UK it's High Density or nothing, not that I can find anyway after a quick search....Have you done yours yet?

I ordered mine from US Camera in Colorado and my repair fellow just received them. He’s doing a CLA on all the items (body, two backs, plus one of the two lenses) so I figured he may as well do the seals.

I did look at US Camera but obviously the cost of shipping is an added expense and any duty as being in the UK, there is a place in France that supposed to do nice kits but not decided yet, don't mind doing them myself but want to make sure the foam is the right one, most of the kits in the UK I've seen are just knockoffs from AliEx! And think it deserves better.

Dear Board,

A brand-new to me used car!

I had to replace my beloved 2011 Subaru Outback, and I wanted something AWD and didn't want to spend a fortune.

It has 90% of the tech of a new car at a much lower price.

I took the pictures with a Canon S90 I had in the glove box of my Subie that I had forgotten was there after I made the swap. Do those batteries ever die? 😉

Good luck with the new car!

... regards batteries: I had the same feeling when I pulled out my MiNT Polaroid flashbar yesterday, discovered I'd left the batteries in it—clicked it on, it charged up and took photos as if I'd just put it away yesterday. It's been over a year and a half since I last used it! Score a win for Eneloop NiMH AAA batteries ...
