Is this an Altissa finder on your Kiev? It is probably the 35mm version with attachable frames for 50mm and 90mm. A very nice flnder and unerrated for sure!

Nice Pentax, I had to squint at the badging for a little before I figured it out. My brain wanted to tell me "MONO" (hahah, an analogue version of the K-3 Mark III Monochrome), "LOMO" and "OMD" before reason asserted itself. On second thought, a digital camera that would be the same size and design as the Pentax K2, but with a monochrome sensor, could be a very interesting niche product.

☆The Return of the SLR
For Pentax - the last camera maker to still stick to the traditional OVF using a pentaprism and mirror, it shouldn't be a big deal to make a camera that's similar in size to the Pentax K2 (still smaller than its KX sibling in the same series). And to achieve that, as far as I'm concerned, they can forgo autofocus.

They broached the idea of a smaller full-frame camera without autofocus in a recent survey Ricoh sent out. I said bring it on! If the viewfinder is suitably larger and brighter, I can manually focus the lenses I have.

That sounds great. I wish Pentax would try to bring the world some refreshing news in the form of a K2-style SLR camera with manual focus and manual shutter release, like they did in the 70s. Provided, of course, for cost reasons, that they don't complicate everything with a half-frame digital sensor...
