What have you just BOUGHT?

Just got another toy camera, a fat boy. KONICA Genba Kantoku 35WB.
A rugged camera originally built for construction Site Supervisor in Japan in 1994.

This version has a 35mm f3.5 lens (most likely a simple 3-elements design, not sure) and the name of the original owner 丸文水道is still encased on the top plate of the camera. Coolcat!

I read about those recently. Very cool. Love the little construction worker on top.

NIce, I have the first version of the 28mm model of that Konica. Not sure about the lenses on the 35mm but mine uses a 8 element lens in it. I think they scaled back to 5 elements in the later 28mm versions.

Each year I seem to be in a Christmas photo habit in Nov-Dec getting myself photo books and/or a lens. This year:
The Complete Nikon Rangefinder System by Robert Rotoloni
An Alternative History of Photography by Phillip Prodger which I heard about on this podcast
Nikon A Japanese History by Giulio Forti Unfortunately the translation/copy editing from Italian is horrendously bad
Cristobal Hara’s Spanish Colour 1985-2020 because I saw this video

_DSC6711-Edit.jpg
1958 Nikkor Lenses sales brochure that I stumbled across one night being sold by a online vintage kitchen shop
1941 Kodak ad off eBay
And the bargain of the year for me, a user condition Sonnar - I love Sonnars - Leica 135mm/4 for $244 from UsedPhotoPro!
