I read about those recently. Very cool. Love the little construction worker on top.Just got another toy camera, a fat boy. KONICA Genba Kantoku 35WB.
A rugged camera originally built for construction Site Supervisor in Japan in 1994.

This version has a 35mm f3.5 lens (most likely a simple 3-elements design, not sure) and the name of the original owner 丸文水道is still encased on the top plate of the camera. Coolcat!

I only use GIMP. Ditched Photoshop 9 and never looked back.On-line training for GIMP and Darktable. I am exploring ditching LightRoom and Photoshop.

I test shot half a roll of Kodak Double-X with the Konica 35WB and found that its metering is accurate and its 35mm lens is pretty sharp and distortion free, and that is good enough. 3 elements or 4 doesn't really matter. Below is one test shot:NIce, I have the first version of the 28mm model of that Konica. Not sure about the lenses on the 35mm but mine uses a 8 element lens in it. I think they scaled back to 5 elements in the later 28mm versions.
I usually run a fluffy cotton ball and if there is something rough, it shreds the cotton. There is one issue though. I can see obvious horizontal scratch lines at the upper portion of every frame
That's not a bad trick. If I remember to check, these days if I have a camera with rollers in the film gate (mostly box cameras, tbh), I'll give them a polish as well - roughness of polishing medium depending on roughness of roller.I usually run a fluffy cotton ball and if there is something rough, it shreds the cotton.
My favorite 50, I sold all the other ones.I have now completed my Zeiss ZM collection with the purchase of the 50mm ƒ/1.5 C-Sonnar. The lens is out for delivery with FedEx right now.
I now have all my most used focal lengths covered--21 (both models), 25, 35 (both models), 50 (both models) and 85. In addition to these wonder lenses, I also have a selection of Voigtlanders from 15mm to 90mm. All of them work beautifully on adapters for the Nikon Z cameras I now use. Merry Christmas to me.
It is now time to take stock and sell off a bunch of cameras and lenses, something I've been promising my wife for a couple of years. She will like that. Merry Christmas to her. 🙂
