Camera and Coffee

That small Lumix rig can produce many mightily impressive photos in the right hands and using RAW.

As the happy user of a now ancient Lumix GF1, I'm amazed as the quality that 14-42 zoom turns out. It's one of the secrets of the Lumix range - or maybe it's well-known and I'm still living under a large rock, as I ofttimes think I do.

Mine often goes with me on my outings to photograph 13th century temples in East and Central Java. I keep it ready for fast and easy candids and it never disappoints or fails to impress with the results I get.

Someone recently told me the Lumix zooms were rebranded as Leica glass for their smaller cameras. Unsure if this is accurate or not. Someone here can please advise.

I also have the Lumix 50-150 zoom but after six years, I've never used it. I should and I will, soon.
Micro 4/3 lenses are almost universally excellent. It's a really undersung aspect of the format. For as small and (mostly) relatively inexpensive as most of them are, they are really very impressive.

I believe the Panasonic lenses which have Leica design input are all marked as such, and typically referred to as "Pana-Leicas" by users. Quite a few of their lineup bear the Leica tag, going as far back I believe as their original 25mm f1.4.

Thumbs up to all except the black mug. I can't judge if coffee is the right strength.

I beg to differ.... 😉 View attachment 4891247

@38Deardorff

The infidels are at the gates! They come with preposterous ideas and claims.

What we - the true Nikon faithful - know is that there has never been and never will there be a better, more durable, and more functional SLR than the original Nikon F, or it's Apollo replacement.

MIssion Accomplished. Bravo Zulu, etc. The Room Of Blackness has produced some very nice M5/35mm Summicron negatives for the enlarger to deal with tomorrow.

Today's exercise was to dilute Pyrocat-HDC more than usual (1.5:1:300), but EMA process it longer (60 min) with Fomapan 200. It appears it hit box speed without issues, the only question is how the grain and edge effects look when I print.

Film at 11 ...
