ASA 32
Well-known
A few weeks ago I tried out an M 262 from LensRental.com, who were great to deal with, by the way. I had been eyeing a 262 for some time, and I thoroughly enjoyed using the camera for the time it was in my possession. As an older fellow with older eyes, I wondered how well I could see to focus the 262, and I was pleased to find it as easy to focus as my Zeiss ZI. Also nice was how my ZM and CV lenses worked with the camera. I did learn something to watch for--the shutter-speed and exposure compensation controls can get reset inadvertently if I'm not careful. All in all though, it seemed the perfect camera for me. So, now I have on order through PopFlash (thank you, Alex, for a smooth and pleasant transaction) a brand new Leica M Typ 262, which should arrive on Monday. I look forward to many years of fun with it. Much lurking and reading about the experiences of other RFFers with various digital M cameras made what for me was a very expensive purchase a little less stressful, so to all, thank you for sharing your wisdom.
