I've finally realised my dream and am now the proud owner of a Leica M7 and Summilux-M f/1.4 50mm lens.

I'm happy to be a member of the worldwide Leica community, and looking forward to using my Leica around the world on my travels.

Just thought I'd say hi. (^ ^)

Well, I am not the guy who should be welcoming you, since I am very very new here but! welcome!!! amazing set you have and wish you all the best pictures 🙂

welcome to the forum! greetings to you and the homeground of one of my favorite english forwards, alan shearer

i hope you enjoy the site as much as i do

I've met Alan Shearer a few times - he lives in the village I used to live in with my parents and drinks in the same pub as my dad. I'm not at all into football though (^ ^)

Glad to be here, and I'll post up some pictures when I have some developed.

Welcome to Leicadom. If anyone asks, just say "Why not the best"

not being into football (soccer locally) is a well-known phenomenon is the u.s. 🙂

please do post photos - that is one thing everyone on rff seems to agree, the more the better

greetings!

what lens will you buy next?
😉

I thought of the same question but figured I would give his wallet a chance to catch it's breath before starting the talk of a 35 lux. 😀

Welcome to the Forum. You will soon use this more as a support group as you buy more lenses and bodies. We are here for you..lol

Bob

Yes indeed Bob is right! We are all here for you and will help you through the pains of GAS. 😉 I welcome you as a brother - I have the same combo and it is sweet! 🙂

I grew up in that same village. Parents still live there. If I had lived there myself over the past few years I could have done a photo project on all the houses they pulled down to be replaced by vulgar monstrosities. 😡

Really admired your photo's on Flickr. 🙂

Well: As Mike well knows, I am Alan Shearer, but not THE Alan Shearer. If it helps, I'm not into football either (what we call football). I do like soccer somewhat though.

Welcome. Very nice set you have. I wish now that I have had my 50 Cron, that I had gone the extra for the 1.4. I could use it. Good choice.
