I wore out a Honda Trail 90 as a teenager, was bikeless till I was about 25, then bought an old Beemer and put 30000 miles on it in one year. That did the trick, I haven't ridden since...

Bryce, on a smaller scale, I know how you feel. My brother in law and I took a trip from Toronto to PEI and back, about 3000 miles in 9 days. Once I got home, I didn't sit on the bike for several weeks. I was riding my 1976 R90/6, and he was on his 1975 Honda 750-4. I was getting better milae than he was BTW, even though my bike's displacement is larger.
