Bought Film, Cant Return...Cord Camera

I would have been surprised if they did accept the film for a refund. There is no way to verify how that film was handled. Film is a consumable item. Would you expect Subway to take back a sandwich?

Would you expect Subway to take back a sandwich?

I once worked for a takeout restaurant that "guaranteed the first bite". If a customer didn't like what they ordered, it would be gladly replaced or money refunded. You wouldn't belive how many people came back with almost-completely-eaten meals for a refund... and a story of how big their mouth (and their 'first bite' ) was.

So my answer to your question is (flipping hte magic 8-ball): Perhaps.

🙂

So far in this thread a roll of film has been compared to underwear and Subway ... it's definitely doomed! 😀

Film I meant ... and possibly this thread also! 😛

Occasionally Keith, exposed underware can make as big an impression as can exposed film.

When I were a kid, our class drove down to the city. Before going into circus I bought 3 (or 5) ice creams because in our small village we hadn't it for sale. Teacher told kids, we go in a five minutes. I hadn't idea then I could return some ice cream...I ate it all and didn't regret at all.

I buy film locally from a few places
Roberts Camera (XP2 or other BW or color) The local food store chain (Fuji). I haven't bought any on line yet.
I quit going to Cord...There are a Scrap Book shop now with very little photo enthusiast stuff...just for the masses now.
But, the policy seems reasonable.. If it where a sealed box, They might...If there is an ongoing relationship with you as a steady customer.

I have seen Cord act this way when they carried almost every camera line (P/S and DSLR). But. They closed their main store in NORA, IN and opened a new location 2 blocks away with only Nikon and Canon (but not the Pro stuff)..So Cord has down sized their offerings to cater to the Masses now. 90% of the store is for Scrape Booking now.
