Thanks Joe ! That post was meant for you
In fact I can't screw a hood over that filter. I know I was going to get rid of it but the front glass looks so spotless from having it always there that I'm considering leaving it there for this specific lens, still not sure.
I'm thinking on one of those square snap-on plastic hoods...

nah, just sometimes it seems kinda nuts to put filters on all this old glass, no matter how nice it might be.
the last time i gave it some thought, i decided to use uv/skylight filters only when the weather dictated it, i.e. for snowy, stormy, windy weather.
but then i put filters on all the lenses again...and today decided to go with my original/last plan.
i still think you need a nice metal hood for that lens...

In fact this is the first lens I think on leaving the filter on, mainly cos it came with it screwed, as there was no front cap.
I already have a 40-43 adapter and a nice 43mm Hoya vented hood, that will sure fit nicely on it

i like those hoya hoods.
i have one on the oly 35rc (43.5) and another in 48mm, both non vented though.
i had similar feelings about the 135/3.5 as the glass is so clean & clear, like it never passed through time at all.

Yep, hard to be the first one to put a mark on such a like new 50 years old glass... Mixed feelings anyway, because I don't mind doing it on my CV pancake at all.

Well-known
Ok, I must admit that it is no rangefinder but it says "Voigtländer" and "Bessa..." on the front and it is wearing Zeiss glass. Just wanted to share my joy. Thanks to Robert White for the rapid shipping.
Cheers

T-M that's a sweet looking Bessa ! I think we have our own base of Bessaflex fans here, the chrome model with its Topcon-like appearance is also really attractive...

Happy new year...
Happy new year...
I really didn't plan to take such pic today.
A three day programme went away because of a heavy snowing.
So staying at home and preparing for the new year...
Therefore I thought a better drink than coffee.
Anyway, Happy New Year to you all!!!
Cheers,

Nice looking camera. On my travels through the cyberworld just last night I ran across an article or listing or something about those. It mentioned the film wind mechanism... interesting I thought. Anyway, good shot nem-j.

Hey, it's always good to blame a bit, that's the way to say thanks for Canonizing me
The mug has some history indeed, seems up there (Finland) they are a very common part of trekking equipment, and in fact they are mass sold at sport equipment stores (InterSport etc)

I first saw this TLR at the flea market a few weeks back, but couldn't afford it. Even started a thread here complaining about it. Well, today it saw it again and, flush with Christmas money, I got it!!!
Yashica D with flash attachment, case, and box! The case, unfortunately, fell apart when I got home. There was a set of instructions inside, but they turned out to be for a Wollensack 8mm film camera. (If anyone has one of those and needs instructions, PM me and they're yours.) Everything seems to be in working order and I've already loaded it with some Reala. Can't wait to go shooting!

Looks sweet cap. I had a Yashica TLR for 20? years, stolen from me 12 years ago... still miss it. Have fun with it.
