A lovely pair of f/1.7s

Olympus 35RD (oily shutter sort of fixed but not quite) and a beautiful Canonet G-III QL17.

Sadly all I had in the cupboard was instant - no fancy espresso machines for me.

I just got this last week - a real workhorse - worn but smooth and (I think) - beautiful. The J12 is a temporary 35mm lens until I can afford a hexanon or biogon.

Chilling with the trusty Gaggia

Nice. I got a M4-2 for myself. Actually, I'm waiting for it at the moment...

But there's one thing I didn't get, yet. The camera has no built it light meter, right? What's the fluted glass for then right beside the viewfinder? (Sound stupid coz I've already bought it, but I was okay about the fact to have no built in one, so I thought well.. but would be interesting to know, though..)

No, it doesn't have a light meter built in. Not sure what the fluted glass is for.

CameraQuest sells a nice shoemounted meter you should check out.

I dont drink coffee but I did just blow my summer savings on that beast the 35mm 1.2 Nokton:

Using it on my Bessa R2a that I've had for a year now (and thats my Minolta Autocord TLR in the background.)

Jamie: Tea and other more "interesting" beverages are allowed in this thread. :D

Nice photo ... very nice.

Sorry for the bad quality. My father's cam unfortunately has no manual override to control exposure... *g*

Pen & XA on Moleskine ... via Pen

Pen & XA on Moleskine ... via Pen

My XA, made with Frank's "new" Pen. I'm just the delivery boy, but he gave me permission to test drive it. :D Kodak BW400CN, f8 (I think) 1/200s.

Benno, great price!
I paid € 30 for mine (including a new battery) and even I thought that was a very good price.
