Joe, I like the black on grey myself. There's a lot of black bits on the body so it kinda blends in.back alley said:gene, what do think of the black lens on the grey body?

I didn't think I would like the grey body, but seeing your shot of it Gene, I really do like it now. If nothing else, it will engender a long round of film shooting!

this is my daily companion, I take it almost everywhere, although I do not have as much time for shooting as I would like to. but she is patient and always waits for her time when I put her to my eye
well, and yet some coffee in my favourite mug I got from friend years ago. she handmade it for me with my "sign" on it.

I have to say that the grey is really, really nice. I saw it in person at Gene's this morning, and wow! It is way better than I thought; I think that shade of grey plus the matte surface make it hard to reproduce in a photo. Gene's photo is wonderful, but even he agreed that "in real life" the grey R3A looks even better!back alley said:gene, what do think of the black lens on the grey body?
If this finish were available on a ZI I'd be in big trouble!

I just noticed the stats on this thread-- over 180,000 views. Wow!
But it still hasn't been seen by as many people as Britney Spears' last court appearance.

How refreshing to find someone, somewhere in the world who doesn't know. Count yourselves lucky, there in the Black Forest.
She is an alledged musician, but certified media whore here in the U.S. She recently lost visitation rights of her 2 kids, below the age of about 2, due to some extremely poor parenting skills. The paparazzi document her every move, especially her frequent court appearances, attempting to regain visitation rights for her children. ("Oops, I Did It Again.")

Here's a shot that sooner or later was bound to appear: one of my Rangefinders next to a real capuccino
... Unfortunatelly, this R3A+Heliar75 combo has a combined backfocus of 11 cm at 1 meter !!!??? and I am still trying to fix the problem :-(

I suddenly noticed, that my Leica was in the company with coffee. Don't you just hate/love, when you start thinking about RFF when on holiday?
Good chance to have some proof of my new CV 35mm for the insurance.

but what camera? There are three hints who isolate the exakt model of this german camera...
Well, I reckon it is either a Voigtlander Vito BR or a Vitomatic IIb??
