Camera and Coffee

Rover, Boston area, or to be more specific in case you know the area, Rte 495 and Rte 2. BTW, I noticed you were at Sturbridge Village a few days before I was! Saw the photos in the gallery.

Yes, the camera is stealthy ;) My father always used to say I did things half a$$ed. Coffee now, cameras in the next installment. Maybe the third photo with have them both combined :D

My Official Entry

My Official Entry

My 'official entry'. Even includes a non-stealth camera. I feel better.

I'll shut up now. :)

My very late entry because the lack of digicam to take the photo. Also have a confession to make: the cup was empty. :)

You guys are missing the point...it's a coffee-cup-camera... :)

I have one of those fake "cigarette pack" camera's, and it works too. When I have time, I'll take a snap of it, and submit it to the group.

Toys !!

Toys !!

I was about to give up on these goodies arriving but at work this afternoon a couple of brown paper packages tied with hairy string were plonked on my desk :D ... A 35mm viewfinder for the J12 I got a couple of months ago and a Zorki 5 kit. The Z5 kit was a bit of a gamble, I was looking for a black J8 for a project camera I'm working on and this kit came up for about $10 more than I was going to pay for a nice lens. No one else bid so it was mine, looking over it I think I got a nice little bargain, the J8 is spotless and very smooth and best of all the markings are engraved not painted on like all the other black J8's I've seen.. I couldn't see that from the auction pics. I also ended up with a clean yellow filter with case, hood (my first!), lens cap, very clean “never ready” case, reloadable canister and cable release. The body feels like its had a CLA recently and maybe new curtains .... too cool! .. Now I just need to find a few cookies to go with my coffee.

Saturday Morning Wake-Up Call!

The "User Nikon SP". This is the one that I used for the pictures at the beach; not the Black one! Taken with my Canon 7 and the 5cm F1.4 Nikkor. The Leica Mount Nikkor 5cm lenses focus to 18"; the Canon 7 RF is good to 2.5'. I will be putting this lens on the M2 when it gets back from Essex.

tea?

tea?

bwa ha ha, well Daffy sure looks pretty happy.

Camera and tea, anyone?

Taken with the contax G1 and the 45mm.

Rover,
that Konica looks really nice!

Laika,
Thats a great shot of your Zorki, I like the coffee press in the back.

Brian,
Is that what you mix with your coffee? cream, sugar, or rotgut :D

Scott,
G1 and G2, you have both? Very nice.

Todd

Hi Todd,

I have two G1s, and a Bessa L as far as rangefinders go. A black G2 would be nice addition to the family!

Back in my college days a friend of mine coached a kids Soccer team. He used to lure me, my Nikon F, and 500mm lens out to the early Saturday morning games by having his friends "Jack Daniel" and "Jim Beam" whip me up some extra strong coffee. The pictures came out in focus...
