Here are some pics of my Leica kit at my favorite coffeeshop.
So far, I have been having so much fun shooting with these two cameras that I have been neglecting to do any darkroom work and now have many rolls of film that I need to run up contact sheets for, many more test prints that need to be printed and I have not done any real printing for quite a while. Which just means that I will now have a nice way to spend my evenings, when the weather gets too cold to shoot
The sportfinder on my Leica is a japanese copy of the Leica Rasuk that better corresponds to the lenses that I currently have. I considered getting BL finders or a Vidom for it, instead, but sport finders are cheaper than either of them and I really like the way it looks mounted on my camera. The turret finder on the Bessa L is going to be replaced soon with a 35mm finder, because it seems to make the camera top heavy and is fogged up inside.
I also have a Canon 100 lens, but find that I do not feel like carrying it around with me most of the time. I have to admit that I am not using my 50mm Elmar much, since I got my Summaron. But that has more to do with the fact that my small town seems to be so much easier to photograph with a wide angle lens. There are still many situations where I find that I still need something wider so I am weighing whether to get a 21 or 25.
I also have to issue a thank you to the person or people who sugguested using a soft cooler for a camera bag. I use a lunchbox sized version that was only $8, is just the right size for my Leica kit and keeps a drink cool when I am out on a photo walk. And another thank you to whoever came up with the idea of using those little little Rubbermaid Servin Savers for lenses and miscellaneous stuff. Those things are so handy for Leica sized lenses and accessories
Sorry for the longer than average post for this thread. But I figured I would kill as many birds with one stone as I could
