Camera and Coffee

I don't mind at all.

I am going to take several close ups of my GSN as soon as I finish the roll I got in it. Which sub-forum should I post the pix in?

Lil,
If you want it somewhere other than here - " 35mm Rangfinders / Others" would probably be the best catagory.
The Yashica Electro's are great little cameras. I've got a GT.

Well, little and little. My GSN is about the same size as my smallest Nikon SLR...

Oscar: I will be testing the 50mm F1.2. Looking forward to it. No F1.8. I am just a speed demon. I'm KEEPING THE NEXT ONE!!!

It is going to take me a while to get used to the trigger winder. I just pop up the knob wind and feel at home. I like the lever wind on the L1 and Canon 7 better. But I have to have something to counter the crazy Plunger wind of the Vitessa. I will get used to it.

There was not a Canon P at the show. You guys sent the price sky high. The price on the Vt was really good and the finder was 100%.

Just adding my newest camera and coffee to the list.
On the left is the Nikon F with Photomic prism and 50/1.4 I bought off Brian, very very nice, a great camera that works like a charm! Thanks Brian!

Leica M3, Nikon F. It just does not get better than that.

That Nikon F and the Canonator were best friends. I built two working Photomic Ftn finders out of three non-working ones. I have used this one for several years with print film, but when it agreed with the N8008s across the range I did a "WOW".

This weekend I "took in" a replacement "beater": the 1443'rd Nikon F2 with a DP1 "as-Is, needs work, untested" for $75 at a show AFTER I told the seller that it was from the pre-production batch. Cleaned the layer of dirt off of the mirror (was stored w/o cap), cleaned it up, straightened out the rewind shaft, etc: good working condition and the DP1 works perfectly. It is original to the camera and is also from the pre-production batch.

When I saw the prints from it I did a WOW! Thanks again Brian.

I know the prices use to be sky high, so I still can't understand why nobody else wanted my €160 dented but very nice and working great Canon P WITH Canon 50/1.8 AND working clip-on Canon meter AND Jupiter-11 135 lens 😕

Yeah, I'm proud of that one 🙄

Looking forward to those shots with the 1/1.2 and your progress with the trigger winder, I see it as a first step for a Leicavit 😉

Todd, now that's a very very sweet outfit !!! Even though it's missing a Canon P 😉

Leicavit... No. I just can't see it. Especially at those prices. The Vt and Vitessa will scratch the itch for odd ways to advance film. Besides, I have a Kodak Motormatic that puts trigger winders to shame...

I think my next camera will have to be a "P".

And I understand your dilemna. I cannot decide if my favorite camera is a Nikon SP or a Leica M3.

Very nice, I can see the family resemblance between the SP an F, nice collection.

Now Brian, that's the solution to my dilemma ! Blondes AND brunettes !

🙄

Err, I mean, M3 and SP, but in the end it's redheads...er I mean the Canon P that I lose my head for ! 😀

I bet you'll love the P Brian, I don't know if I read that on Dante Stella's site but it's true, even though it's not that small when compared to the 7, it feels much smaller in hands.

Oscar, In the case of Blondes, Brunettes, and Redheads: If you do not pick one they will gang up on you. I have yet to see a Nikon come after me for going out with a Leica.
