Is that a Contax III on the right edge?:D
Sorry, i have my preferences hehe
Contax III as dependable backup? :D :D :D
Sorry, afterall I am the Bellicose Contax Fanatic ;)
A very nice MP and a nice shot, too!

(It's a Kiev 4, with a CV 21mm on it- I can't afford now to eat^H^H^H^H^H^ the Leica 21mm, so I use the CV)

I'm going to post some pictures taken with those lenses in the gallery. I finally have a film scanning solution that works well enough- the 2450 wasn't cutting it for 135 (though 120 is fine). The signature of the 35 ASPH is pretty unique to my experience!

Nice MP, JD. I do not feel so bad about the M3 anymore. I guess I can leave it to Nikki now, although she is leaning toward using the SP these days.

Now what will you do with the two Prominents?

JD, a major investment there for sure, and I'm envious! I'd like to experience the same pleasure I imagine you will enjoy using it... :)

I have that setup (the MP and 35 at least), and I find it a great kit. My is at Northvale to get the dust out of the finder and reseal it, but it is a great camera. I see you got the black paint 90 ASPH -- I was amazed that they were actually selling for LESS than a regular black one at the Photo Village. I am tempted to get one just because of that, but I already have a tele elmarit M that I inherited from my dad as well as a 75 'lux. It would just be overkill.

You're not gonna believe this....

We don' need no steeeenking M6!

First, gorgeous outfit! Droolllll...

Next, how did you get my old camera bag? That looks like my old bag sitting there, the one that now holds my old Nikon odds and ends. (anybody looking for a Nikon F BC-7 flash, mint, in the original leather case? It's in my bag!!!)

Lovely gear...

Ken

Whats the deal with this thread? I have never seen anything like it before. It grows and grows and grows.

Oh, foo, is that the 28 Tessar? Argh...

:D

William

(oh, I just did my gearhead duty, didn't I?)

Looks similar, but this is a 5cm f/2.8 Dresden Tessar (collapsible, black face) Forgive me, you don't really have any interest in Tessars, do you William? :D

Oh, the first generation collapsable... IIRC that's the one that won't quite fully collapse on a II or III?

:bang: :bang: :bang: :bang: :bang:

You wouldn't happen to be willing to rent your Tessars would you????

:D

I'm sellin' 'em. I'm actually down to one (and one that needs a complete rebuild- possible "parts body," for how poorly it was originally adjusted during the last CLA. I'm probably going to keep the Nokton, as the Leica does indeed yet need a 50, and I like the look of the lens (though the Ultron is awesome as well...) but that means I have to wait for the Contax/ltm mount, and then a lsm mount, and a Prominent to Contax mount.

:)

I like this Leica- the rangefinder doesn't flare to the point of discomfort, and the pictures from it are indeed sharp, unlike my last experiment with a 35mm Summicron ASPH...

Boxes were just there to prop up the camera.

With the scanner in the background, inexepensive though it was for a dedicated film scanner, is far better than what I had before, and now the quality of my scans beat my Canon 10D (now also for sale...)

This is fun!
