Camera and Coffee

Thanks! The weather is my off-camera flash working it's magic. It has been foggy this morning.

Coffee with chicory is popular in both France and "Gnawlens" according to one persian pal who knows both places.

Very nice, Bob. Looks like nice weather, too. Is coffee with chicory popular in France or New Orleans? I remember enjoying it somewhere.

N'Awlins, dawlin'. They bottlefeed it to the babies here 🙂 Not me though...I am sticking with my Russian kid-raising traditions.

Yes, that's right (my memory isn't worth two-cents 🙂 ). Please explain the Russian tradition; does it involve Stolichnaya?😀
Back one page there's a blue coffee mug -- does it look familiar? You live in a fabulous town, Natalia!

yep, that's Cafe du Monde mug. Love the coffee, hate the begnets (too sweet). If you love observing people, their lifestyles, etc. there's no beter place IMO than New Orleans.

Sorry, the Russian tradition of upbringing children does not involve any kind of Vodka, HH🙂

P. S. Natalia,
If you have a spare moment (with absolutely nothing better to do -- I mean closets cleaned, pencils organized, etc.) check out the pictures I took in New Orleans. I hope my love of your city in some small way comes through in the photographs; I've truly never enjoyed a place more.

Natalia, who has the best or better begnets, I have been there for Web conferences and of course had to go to Cafe du Monde. So, I was doing the tourist thing.

I know I will go again and would love to get what the locals like.

Thanks if you have the time.

BTW- your street and family shots are very nice.

Here's my first, feeble, contribution to this thread. Didn't turn out as well as I'd hoped, but I promise to do better in the future.

My Canonet may not as be as nice the Leica's and such that I've seen here, but I'll bet none of you have a coffee cannister as cool as mine. 😉

Irish, actually. We bought it at the local flea market a few weeks ago. There's a flour, tea, & sugar cannister that go with it that have similar designs.

That's a great shot, Captain! And a lovely camera, all very nicely composed (I was so dazzled by the camera I didn't notice the canister😀 ). Welcome!

Oh Man! With the beautiful Spring weather we have in the Pacific Northwest I had to share this early St. Pat's day treat (sorry no coffee today).
The Zorki 4K has a J-12 + B&W Y2 filter. 😀

D2,
That's easy. They just arrived thru Ebay today, $6.00 for two of them (+ shipping) ~ ; - )
