Camera and Coffee

Good taste with camera and coffee :) Kauai is my favourite.

Mine too... so I joined the club, and now I get a bag every month :)

Hm... that gives me an idea for another try at the coffe & camera image... ;)

After a day of work and stale coffee, I prefered the alternate of -
Camera and Irish whiskey, for serious relaxation. :p
Happy St. Pat's to one and all.

My first rangefinder! Quite the looker, isn't she? :)

The picture, however, I didn't do so well on... oops :bang:
Yes I do like that one! Very nice!! I think that may be the first M7 in this thread. What's the lens?

Well, I finally got around to getting a picture of the M3 and some coffee. Unfortunately, I used HP5 @400 and DD-X -- either something was wrong, or this was a horrible combination. The highlights are blown out, and the whole thing looks rather muddy. I was able to more or less salvage some of the shots, but the ones that contained a lot of highlights look awful.

Getting silly - the IIIf collection gets bigger....

tim - is that Adolf on the cover of the book, using the Leica?

heh heh.....

no, i think it's a picture of the author - hang on and let me check....

yep, it's j. allan cash, fibp, frps

and the book, incidentaly, was first published in 1949 and is a really nice contemporary to the IIIf.

Brian, what's the "Leica Manual" cover?
I'd like to track down the 50's equivalent to the current Leica Pocket Book.....

Is there allready an M5 in the thread? I realise it isn't the most popular choice of camera around here, but I like it. It actually is a little larger than a Fed 5, but it fits firmly in my hand and the controls are very well placed, specially the shutterspeed dial. I'm scanning my first pics and they seem nice.

The "Leica Manual" covers the full system; the cameras up-to-the-day, using them, lenses, nice words about lenses, accessories, copy equipment, close-up gear, etc. It also has chapters written by the leading photographers of the day that use Leica equipment for assignments. The 1951 edition is comprehensive, up through the IIIF.

Quick EBay Search: This is like the later one that I have. No Connection with seller, looked like a good write-up.

It is a cold, rainy day here in Santa Barbara, and I thought everyone might like to stick their nose into a nice cappuccino. Not a RF shot, sadly...an R9 and 100mm f/2.8 APO. I was still a little blurry from waking up, so I think the depth of field is about how I saw it.
